VAC coil switch / speed deviation too large

Hi I have an LU15 with OSP7000L. I am getting the 1068 speed deviation too large and 1069 VAC coil switch alarms.

It started earlier this week with the 1068 alarm. I changed the part over then...

Ah yes that was ZFD I remember now. That was a bath on the machine table as you say. For cutting CFRP to keep the dust submerged and his lungs working.

    Re: OmioCNC report

As far as I recall he was using mist not flood coolant?

Flood, literally, floods. It needs good drainage and electrics all have to be fully sealed. As does the enclosure.

    Re: OmioCNC report

It would be done by building it a stand and enclosure with tank underneath and slanted drainage, same as any machine. The whole thing would need rewiring properly and I have no idea how waterproof...

    Copying Okuma format floppy discs

Hi, I have some .imz image files for Okuma format floppy discs which I need to burn on to a floppy to use in the machine. Does anyone know how to do it?

    Re: Skyfire CNC owners?

    Syil X5 isn’t the equivalent, that’s like the SVM0.

X7 is more equivalent to the SVM2, and much better, although obviously much pricier, takes up more space and requires 3 phase.

    If you are...

    Re: Skyfire CNC owners?

They are a bit of a pain to pull through, but best to do that, then join them to the existing switch cables in the electric cabinet. They aren’t long enough to reach the breakout board themselves (1m...

    Re: Skyfire CNC owners?

Sorry just seen the updates. Fred from BST automation will sell the motors separately at a competitive price without the drive. Very fast too. But having spares is no harm.

    When you install the...

    Re: Skyfire CNC owners?

Ok. Disconnect power. Test continuity with a multimeter between each wire on the 3 phases for the motor and earth (U, V, W, PE). See if there is a short.

If there is, pull the way covers off,...

    Skyfire CNC owners?

Could be a number of issues. First thing you need to do is check the error message on the servo drive itself (not the 1043 error on the controller) which will point you in the right direction. Once...

Wow. Great job sticking that on.

I use drop in t-nuts for the Bosch rexroth profile. Very handy as if you’ve got things set up you can still drop a t-nut in from the top, no need to move stuff to...

You’re putting an ATC spindle on the X6?

For VFD control, use modbus. You will get perfect RPM’s and data fed back to mach3 which you can have shown up on the mach3 screen to see how things are...

Re: Retro fitted dual ball screws to 6040?

Well as you already have a machine, you have all the tools needed to build your own/upgrade parts of yours as budget allows. Buy beefier extrusions, hiwin rails, you can machine all the end plates...

If I was going to do it I would put them at the sides. This would give you the means to properly support your bed from the bottom.

Re: Upgrading 6040 for Stainless steel.

A 4KW VFD won’t pull more power from the spindle, it’s not even truly 2.2kw anyway more like 1.5kw. OLV control helps a teeny tad but not much, the spindle will not run with enough balls to machine...

Re: Upgrading 6040 for Stainless steel.

Buy a new machine, seriously. You’re gonna be too much invested into it before you can machine SS. Stainless work gardens like a *****, you need slow RPM’s and torque, something the Chinese spindles...
  29. Re: Inside Huanyang 2.2k Spindle GDZ-80-2.2B Water Cooled

It’s not really 2.2kw. I’ve seen mine stall at ~8 amps.

Generally uses around 3.5a up to around 5a or so when you really load it up.
