Amitim,
Sorry but I don't see an attachment.

Bubba,
I have some servos but don't have them rigged where I can test them or I would let you know how they work. My rotary table is 72:1 so it it geared pretty low anyway, that is why I am...
Probably sould clarify that. There was no modification to the rotary table except for drilling a couple of holes for the motor mount cap screws. Take the motor off then put the handle and vernier...
Thanks buscht, Bubba, it is a stepper but a servo with the correct drive would work just as well. There really isn't much load on it. I only have the one rotary table so I added the stepper so I...
He doesn't advertise them. You need to give him a call at 225-377-7001. He may have some in stock.

Daniel,
Yes, you are exactly who I was thinking of, sorry I couldn't remember your name or web site. You do spendid and impressive work. I didn't realize that VS3D was that much cheaper than...
Trent,
You might try reducing the ACCEL to something below the MAX. I had a problem with that. I wanted instand ACCEL but which worked ok while jogging and testing but when running a program...
Gerry,
I haven't tried it but there are no examples of it in the manual. Looks like it is only 2.5D. It does threadmilling and lathe tool paths as well as offset milling, pocket milling, text...
Forgot, you didn't say what machine control software you will be using. Turbocnc, Mach2, etc? Whether you use ACE or TurboCadCam or most others, there will be a certain amount of editing of the...
Oops, sorry, a better link to ACE Converter is www.yeagerautomation.com .
Yes it would except for the machine control software. You can still use V10.0 with ACE Converter and others to get your G-Code from the DXF drawings. ACE is free at www.dakeng.com .
Well yes it would if you are looking for a CadCam both program.
That's a good price for V10. I don't think just registering qualifies for upgrades. I think that is just the way they promote their new products. If you register then you are in their database of...
If it works like mine did, all you have to do is buy the cheap one, register it, and the upgrade offer will come. I also got V10.0 for $99.00.
Marv
Well actually they ran a special and I got it for less. I bought V8 at Walmart for $79.00 and upgraded to TurboCadCam V2.0 for under $400. Just got an offer to upgrade to TurboCadCam V2.5 for...
Try this:

I use TurboCADCAM which is TurboCAD V 9 Pro. I like it.

Talked to Bob yesterday. He's back.

That should work beautifully.

Chuck,
Check out the Xylotex data sheet. It mentions on there how the Xylotex board handles this I think. http://www.xylotex.com/XS35V.pdf There is a table on page 4 and some more...
There is a guy, can't remember who, that made a commemorative coin much like the medals. You could start with a bitmap and Artcam or Meshcam.

Nice going Chuck. You electronics guys just amaze me. You all say " All you need is a small circuit board, throw some chips, resistors, a few diodes at the board and what ever it is you need will...
Charley,
Gerry is right about not supporting the lead screw with the motor. I don't know if it's clear in my photo but my lead screws are supported and aligned with the motor by the opposite...
Charley,
For Question 1 & 5. I built a machine using some high quality drawer slides. You can see some pics in the members gallery. It works great, just not as durable as some other methods...
Cool!
Looks like you would have to use some kind of microscope to tell what you were doing. Besides using one can you imagine what it takes to MAKE one?
Those look good Jeff. Have you checked on their prices?
Jeff,
That's great. Is the quality the same? Seems like the Plitron transformers are really built good and built to last. Of course How much wear and tear can there be on a transformer once...
Maybe you should look for a 22 VAC secondary, Plitron has them. That would give you about 29.7 VDC. I bought a 24 VAC from Allied and unwound a couple of turns to get it where I wanted it.
