11 business days to the west coast. Arrived a few days ago.
I used this method to compress the spring. Three 2x4 blocks with a bit of an angle cut in them and a strap. Worked ok.

Ahh, ok. I did NOT follow the manual then. I just read the part about 'put it in high speed' and I did not leave the pulley in one piece. Silly me. I just assumed you had to take the pulley apart to...
I need one last bit of help. How do I get the variable speed spring back on? Reversing the instructions in the user manual for disassembly does not work. I can't get the belt to the high speed...
Thank you again George. You were way ahead of me. I wish I had checked back here. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get that part out of there. Arggh. All is well now.
Thanks George. Removing the High/Low was the trick.
Easy! Removing the Hi/Low and pull up. No need to remove either gear. I guess I should have said my objective was to get the assembly off. I...
The other gear.
Thanks for that input, but I'm trying to get the lower (front) gear off. I don't know if it is press on or screw on. I'm thinking it is screw on. I'm wondering what people use for a tool and how they...
Andrey,
Please publish your email address or send me a PM with it. I want to order one.
Thanks,
Good Day,
How do I remove this front gear? Does the center hub spin off? If so, how do I turn it? The gear and hub want to spin freely. Any tricks to hold it while trying to turn the hub off? What...
gta/spec,
Thanks. Good point; it would take up a lot of space in the console.
With all the notes everyone has put together, I'm concluding the 120VAC comes straight into the motor units from...
Thanks Larry. I have been to the Acu-rite site many times looking for documentation (many months ago). At that time, they only had the user manual. I never noticed an installation manual. That's a...
GTA,
Yes, it is as you describe. What I'm wondering is if there is a step-down transformer in the console. From what Mike says, perhaps not.
Larry, this is a Bridgeport series 1 (year unknown)...
Thanks Mike. I'll be sure to check that I don't ground the DC output of the supply. Since I'm using the system as-is, without modification, things should be right as the Millpwr is a well-engineered...
I have a 3 axis Millpwr minus the controller. I'm converting it to use a DSPMC. Each motor assembly has a power supply card (combined with a small PIC controller) and Servo Dynamics amplifier.
...
Thanks Tom. I appreciate level headed discussion over rhetoric and hyperbole.
....oh, and by the way, we know what Dinosaurs sound like; didn't you see Jurasic Park? ;)
cheers,
Thank you.
The other thing that puzzles me is why this topic riles people so. It's as though one were discussing religion.
Thanks fizzissist. Can you site some sources of material that you would consider unbiased on the subject (besides what you already mentioned)? I'd like to read more.
I read all the posts and the thread is only 7 posts long and you only posted 1 post, so I don't understand why you are taking an attitude with me. Why the temper? I'm just trying to understand...
I'd like to understand what the skeptics are skeptical about. That's not saying I understand it or believe it to be human-caused or the like. I do know this is a very small petri dish we're living on...
Seal,
If you buy one, let us know how it works out. This pendant looks very good.
Andrey,
Are all or most of the keys programmable? I couldn't quite read the screen on the youtube video....
How much is it?
Do you have a web site?
Is a user manual available to review?
Buy it cheaper from the manufacturer here

or get more buttons with this one.

Thank you for the update.
My only input as one that would use it for a 4 axis mill is to make as many keys as possible, programmable, rather than assigned; allowing the user to decide what...
Is there an update on the MPG202?
Has anyone used an Acu-Rite glass scale with the Position-Trac feature as a an absolute reference? Position-Trac encodes the absolute position of the axis into the reference output. Rather than a...
What brand/model pendant is this?

That's confusing. The AC reading shouldn't be higher than 120VAC. Did you mean 140VDC?
It shouldn't matter.
The AC voltage should be stable. But it may be the way you are probing...
On mine they are ground ball screws. You should be able to attain zero backlash. On the drive side of the X is the double bearings (I forgot the proper name). There is a thrust washer that pushes...
