    Re: Okuma CadetV 4020 DNC

It's been several years back now I had found a forum thread were a guy was able to locate all of the parts he needed to do the DNC conversion himself. I don't remember if it was on this forum or...
  2. Re: How do I backup programs to USB on OSP-E100L controller?

I am not sure. Apparently the E series controls are enough different from the U/7000/5000 series controls that I have access to that I don't know what changed in the newer models.

  3. Re: How do I backup programs to USB on OSP-E100L controller?

No you don't boot from a floppy on the CNC. You are only using it to store programs and possibly to backup parameters.

The gotek seems to be the most common one out there so a lot of people can offer help. Check this video out

    Okuma MIV questions

    Hello all,

I believe I have a faulty MIV unit in my ES-L6 lathe. I'd like to know what MIV modules can interchange with each other.

I know that the last couple digits in the part number are the...
  9. Re: chuck stalling during threading operation - no alarms

I'm kind of at a loss.

I don't think it helps with the spindle stalling but with the M34 I think you are cutting with the back side of the tool. Another idea change M74 to M75. It will make a lot...
  10. Re: chuck stalling during threading operation - no alarms

Does this lathe have multiple spindle gear ranges? Perhaps your RPM is too low for the gear range you are in and the spindle motor doesn't have enough torque at slow speed. I am only familiar with...

I tore the MIV down didn't see anything obvious(Leaky Caps, Bad Traces). I swapped the IGBTs to see if problem switched to the other axis, it did not.

    ES-L6 U10L Issues

    Hello All,

I may have hinted towards it several months ago. I have bought an ES-L6 lathe with U10L control. I bought the machine to make some extra money on the side in an attempt to pad the bank...

Re: 95 Okuma LNC8 drilling help

I agree with the G74 for drilling. I have the same problem using fusion for drilling I always go and change the G181 to G74 and modify what ever is needed to get it running. I have considered editing...
  17. Re: Help me connect an Okuma workstation (OSP700M) to PC.

Your next step will be to figure out if you have the B(do not confuse this with DNC-B, it is something different) method option to load programs into the run buffer. You should also figure out if you...

I am in the same boat as you up against that 64KB limit, its a bummer. Others can give you some hints to work around.

When you try to transfer from disk, are you going into the MS-DOS mode? Go to...

According to the scan of your spec sheet, you do not have DNC-B which is needed for to drip feed through RS-232.

    Re: OSP700M DNC
