Gerry, I think you are exactly correct. I didn't know they exist and got in a hurry for a replacement.
Dang it!
Thanks so much for the response!

My perfectly running hy02d223b with mach3 control went POP a couple weeks ago. The replacement hy02d223b does not have the second terminal bank in it where the rs+ and rs- connections went. My...
Has anyone milled aluminum with the Evolution yet? How deep of cuts? How much gantry flex?
Thanks,

Hi Jim,
Didn't mean to get the big guns involved, but since you're here, thanks!
In my case, my home built 4x4 table has been running super for a year and a half. Powermax 45, sheetCam, mach3,...
I've just started experiencing this problem. Did you find a solution?
What cam software are you using?
The TB6560 should have come with custom config files on the CD.
I did the TB6560 route for a few months. It almost ruined my interest in CNC. It was nothing but...
This should help...
Yep, that sucks.
That's how mine went out.
Unfortunately, I broke my new G540. But you know what? Gecko support is fixing it for free. Can't beat that with a stick. The performance of the G540...
Homer,
When you go with the aluminum extrusion be sure the ends are square/perpendicular with the length of the rail. My first build I assumed they were cut evenly. I could never get my gantry...
Hey Garry,
Silence would be the ultimate. Yes I agree with you that is not going to happen. As I was adjusting, the least amount of whine or vibration was what I was shooting for. I apologize for...
I guess I stand corrected on my play for words. Sorry Garry I didn't claim myself as knowledgeable as you.
Please start another thread if you want to carry this on.
Hey that sounds great Mariss.
I probably did man-handle it too much but I think the biggest problem was the magnifying glass wasn't thick enough to see what I was doing.
I will send the G540 to...
Just installed my newG540. Was loving it. Then went to tune the first motor and the little tiny screw head fell off. Do you think it was in tune when it happened? No such luck. Vibrates severely at...
Hey Dirtbound,
Sounds just like the delay I had. Went to config/ports and pins/spindle setup/relay control, in mach3. Change the 1's in relay control to 0's.

Hey All!
Table has been doing pretty good but its time to snuff things up and fix a couple issues. Most issues are probably just part of my learning curve.
Anyway...
My first question has to...
You're pretty good with that MM 211. Bought mine last fall and just loving it. What cutter are you going with? PM45?
I think I would paint everything. Then sand the rail surface the bearings ride on. Then just grease the path. Pretty small surface to maintain I would think.
Can you post more pics of the plumbing...
You'll probably have and extra $50 tacked on for the longer gear racks also.
Definately get the rails ordered NOW. I ended up making rails out of 2x2 tubing, angle iron and strap for about $40...
Oooooohhhhh, so I'm cutting .060 too high using the floating Z axis. And if I set it correct, then the tip will drag the material with that shield. Thanks! Took me a minute.
Thanks guys for the great info. I am waiting for the 220673 shield now.
My concern is over the jerkyness in the motors. Is that due to the slow speed? At higher speed the jerking seemed worse. Or...
Finally received my rails.
The videos links I'm posting are to my second real cutting.
Please analyze the shuttering/vibration I'm getting while cutting these fonts. The drawings are shown as...
Wow, thanks for the quick reply. Incredible support!!!!!!
I love my new PM45. I was lucky to realize I could build my own table to go with it. My two boys are loving the possibilities and do well...
So if using a 220674 with a torch height of .060, would setting torch height to .000 and get the same effect of the 220673?
Hey, received my gantry rail today from my favorite manufacturer. Weird that it was ONLY the gantry rail I received. Still waiting then...
On another note, made my first aluminum cuts. WOW, didn't...
Well, I'm starting this thread to quit jacking Winegars build thread.
I have been following winegars build almost to the tee in addition to his personal help. For about a month now all I've been...
masta tulsa yoda sir!
I could beta test those carriages.:)
If they break, I can do it.
PBC pushed my ship date out another two weeks. Ordered the rails May 4th. Had the first ship date of June 10th. Now it looks like almost the end of June. Just in case this becomes an ongoing process...
What is the smallest center drill hole size I should be able to obtain?
Wow, so not only do I not have my rails yet, now I have to modify them to keep em from bending? Thanks winegar for finding this stuff first.
So hopefully I am not hijacking this thread by posting...
Nice cut Winegar!!!
Where are the holding tabs for the text added? Deskengrave? Special font? Sheetcam?
Linktiger: The rails were well over $200. To buy direct I was told I needed to promise at...
