Gary: So a little sidetracked from the original questions... What you describe sounds like my nh4000, nine nines backdoor exit, xp embedded (exactly like it sounds, a version of winxp designed for...
I guess i had confused GOP3 with MAPPS3, you're right the nh5000 must be mapps2 over the 18i
I couldn't find any version info in the ui to verify that its 2 and not 1, know where to look?
Whats...
That's lame about the ladder...
I'll have to confirm mine tomorrow i guess but i thought it was mappsIii. Its definitely tiny os/2 on an 18i, from i want to say 2002
We've found no real...
I don't know how consistant they were with mapps version/os/control, all i know are my two (i'll confirm and add to this, but off the top of my head):
NH5000 HMC with MSG-501 control running...
Actually he's exactly right...
The 310i or similar models are a windows based frontend on a standalone fanuc, exactly like the mapps iv windows xpe setup, both utilitizing "cnc screen control...
of course its always the simplest thing... i've always just ignored the "Manual Absolute" software switch on the Fanucs after learning to set them ON years ago for the way we run the machines, not...
a couple parameters that sound related but do NOT fix my problem:
pm0007.3: Addition of work shift correct (this applies or ignores the "update" work shift to work offsets g54-g59)
pm2002.0-4:...
the only working solution i've found is G52 X0 Y0 Z0 in my tool change macro, which i don't want (homes all axis)
i took a video of:
Running a program, cutting air
moving handwheel in X
auto...
Programs always start with a call to that M6 macro, which internally controls G90/G91 and always finishes with G90 left on (as can be seen in macros above, and works fine on Fanucs)
Thanks

Hey all,
I've become familiar with Fanuc controls and am now trying to set up two new machines with Yasnac controls (one i80, one J300), and one major difference between these and Fanucs (0m, 18m,...
It depends on your control
i think any "i" control except 0i-mc has embedded ethernet standard (unless the MTB made it inaccessible)
RJ45 port could be in the electrical cabinet if its not...
bumping an old thread here, but i think i have an easy solution to the original question...
quick aside; sanderal, great post! i've not seen any documentation for the "file" functionality you are...
i figured i'd bump this thread as i still run into this problem from time to time and have not found a resolution
i still believe this is accel/deccel and/or auto corner override related but i'm...
using your machines custom M-codes from the list you posted, and standard g-codes, figure out what sequence of MDI codes will successfully complete a tool change... then i can tell you how to turn...
i think you need spaces:
DPRNT[BS #1 [33]]
to print an actual space you need to use asterisk * but a space in the code seperates text from variables i think
i recommend familiarizing yourself with the parameters available on your control before you assume ANYTHING...
for example, beware when someone suggests the way your machine will act, like what...
i would eventually like to explore this route for the added benefits of reading data and particularly alarm data that would stop program execution and prevent my method of passive machine "listening"...
yup, all the info i could find would lead this to be a setting either hard-set by the MTB or controlled via pmc params/keep relays
some of my machines of various MTBs have keep relays to control...
a typical program posted from our CAM system would look like this:
%
O0001(PXIE5603 COVEROP1)
POPEN(1.12.38 PM 7/21/2010)
DPRNT[//START*NATIONAL-INSTRUMENTS/PXIE5603-COVER/OP1]
PCLOS
M6T7...
hey,
glad to help by sharing what has been successful for me... i am by no means an expert... you can PM me if necessary but i prefer putting stuff on the forum to help others when searching...

you can use ethernet for FTP file (program) transfers and for Focas-based status monitoring... the problem is the Focas drivers from fanuc are expensive, and you have to know how to program them... i...
or your MTB may have set up a macro variable directly written by the APC cycle... my Mori Seiki has a Keep Relay that activates the ladder's ability to write the pallet number to macro var #147 and...
couple things to check...
other parameters can affect how your code will be interpreted... so make sure you are using the same as before the problem appeared:
increment system A B C...
g-code...
unless i'm mistaken, there is no parallel port
you may be looking at the DB25-female serial port (rs-232-c) on the machine and mistaking it for a parallel port...
you most likely want serial...
in the meantime you may be able to save your desired program within that range to the embedded space in f-rom... have you tried that? do you have that password/the ability to edit the embedded...
i have also run into this, on an 18i-mb on a hardinge vmc... even with the password in 12013 (which you need to change 12010 from what i understand... after changing 12010 you can then "see" the...
yup thats what its looking like
thanks for your help, ideas, and posts
best of luck...

nice solution... i can see your methodology and seems like a good way to do it...
the difference in what i really want is this, i had the DPNT[//HOLD] status signal update the machine's status in...
i'm not sure conceptually how the machine would know ahead of the M1 via timer... but i'd love to see your macro solution
thanks

yup my other machines store it in the PMC data table...
i agree, seems like a waste of time... but i could foresee some use for it, especially if unloading tools via a side access panel to the...
