Fantastic doogle, that might be it.I have set Delay in seconds which makes sense but maybe as you mentioned in Gen Config Dwell is in ms, just might be it!
I will give it a go and let you know....
G'day Mmpie, I am using Artcam which writes its own G-Code. Have not started using F360 yet, going to soon. There is a setting in M3 that you can set spindle time to spin up, but does not seem to...
Hi Guys,
Hope you all had a lovely Xmas and New Years..
I'm still wondering if anyone knows how to get the spindle up to speed before the job starts.
The delay feature seems to do nothing....
So your spindle got to full speed in one second? Thats another approach I suppose. So how do you do this and what is a VSD?
Thanks that will be helpful.
Same prob I am having with my X4-800L, I have setup delays in the spindle setup (under config tab) but its not working?
Great little machine though!!
Hey dharmic I set my startup delays for 10 secs on the spindle setup page but when I start a job they do not work? Yes I pressed the apply button, the spindle starts and it goes into the work...
Thanks Guys
It is satisfying to get some nice results.
That's how it came off the machine, I have not done anything to it yet, but needs a bit of cleaning and a varnish or oil or something to...
Hey there guys, hope all is well.
This is my latest carving on pine which came out great!
I used the circle cut-out wizard in Mach3 to cut out the job and it worked a treat.
I did not buy my...
Thanks mate. Thanks for your help!
Hey Guys, well I did get a chance yesterday to rerun my project and had great results! The photos show the return to X=0 after the Rough pass, X=0 after the finish pass, and an overall pic showing...
Oh yeah! Big learning curve! But with the help from you guys, I had some confidence to keep going. I am not really mechanically minded (I am a structural Engineer that designs Buildings) so that is a...
Schmoo? we must have gone to different schools..haha..
Your input has been invaluable, still a big learning curve to go through but hey I feel like I am getting there!
cheers..
Hi Guys,
You would think these machines would be made in a factory and not on someones front balcony? Then again?
I have progressed a little further with the issues on my machine being not coming...
Impressive fix there Mmpie!!
So are you saying my bed is not square to the spindle? Have not checked that. I can see that it could cause out of whackness (hows that for a technical term?) both in the X and Z axes and I suppose a...
Mmpie I remember your old posts nearly put me off getting one, but you persevered and conquered! Most people would just given up considering all the issues you had with yours. Omios we got your money...
Yeah I recall reading that he got a lemon, or a Monday Morning got the Blues version! sad .
So you replaced the power supply to fix the problem? I cannot believe the factory supplied one set on fire? You really must have been overloading it, or maybe the tight spots were really hard to push...
If thats the case then, I know I am not pushing mine hard at all..
You would think that Omio machines would be running at 48 Volts then, being a better quality chinese unit?
How would you check this anyway? I agree if its running at 24V it may be skipping a bit.
Thanks, I will check it out!
Wow thats the best answer to a question ever!
I did notice my X axis (the one in question) had a couple of tight spots when I first got it.
It made a little clunk sound in a couple of spots as I...
I have noticed a few times now that when my little Omio has finished a Rough Pass it goes back to 0, 0, 0 as it should.
But, as you can see in the photograph my starting 0, 0, 0 is the 2nd blue...
Hanging 25kg off a 1 foot spanner sounds like a heck of a force! Do you call that snug and a bit?
[QUOTE=dharmic;2212946]I haul on a spanner and shout "CLICK" when it feels right. I have a legit...
Snug and a bit is what I used to do until I got a couple of failures, first 6mm Endmill in an Omio Supplied Collet, took metal from the inside of the collet and second 3mm ball end 4mm shaft on 4mm...
Good advice, will do!
Not sure, cant remember, who am I, oh no...another senior moment!
HI dharmic
I agree with all of that! Keep the PC dedicated to the CNC and remove the unwanted un-needed stuff, they just slow it down!
Now that I have removed AVG and Wifi, I will give it a few...
