I'm not looking for cheap (if I did I would not be looking for reninshaw !)
It's just a matter of trying to find the correct part quickly and efficiently within Australia.
Anyone happen to know the reninshaw part number to buy replacement tips of exactly the right length & diameter to replace the supplied tip for
...
It was the G30. Never having done a manual tool change on the machine until the ATC died I had no awareness of it !
Thanks everyone.
Hi Guys
I'd appreciate if someone with experience of tormach / g-code could cast their eye over this.
I have done drilling operations before with no issues but this has me stumped.
Scenario...
All USB connections have been checked and a different cable used. I've done the firmware a couple of times so strange it's not in the log ..
Logfile sent., I put cnczone in the subject line.
That has already be done via our agent ..
Hmm, thanks for the help but that process is not working with our 1100MX with the operator console. Will await further developments from Tormach..
Thanks for the reply, is that the accepted fix from Tormach ? We have the operator console so everything plugs into that, although there is nothing beyond the ATC, wifi dongle and mouse / keyboard. ...
Do you have a link or further info. I've lodged a query via the agent we purchased from but currently the whole machine is offline ...
Yup. It's killed mine.
Action Aluminum had what I needed, so thanks again.
Great - thanks very much I'll touch base with them Monday.
I need to find a supplier for Alu bar, or plate. Minimum width 95mm, lengths of 220mm min, but here's the kicker - minimum 30mm thick. Nothing in the Capral catalogue .... Anyone got any suggested...
I would strongly advise that if you need to do any mods to the controller you do them to accept anything but NCCAD, it's awful to use.
I'm looking for a small CNC lathe in Australia (WA preferred).
I don't want to buy a conversion of a low end chinese tiny lathe, I was thinking more along the lines of a Wabeco, or Emco compact...
Milling / lathe work. Small qty's / small parts.
Stainless steel and brass.
Solidworks drawings available.
Rad45 - any chance you can continue your explanation ?
Thanks Rad45, I certainly appreciate your going to the trouble to post this information.
I would say post it here, then it's on the record for anyone else in the same position. I'm sure there are others with these fantastic quality machines currently being let down (IMO) by their...
Russell - I'm about to do the same as you, any tips or tricks from your conversion that you can share, especially with the toolchanger ?
I'm not worried about a store front per se, But having someone 'real' on the end of the phone is a must if I'm going to have what may not be a straightforward conversion from one CNC controller...
Does anyone have any first hand experience / recommendations for suppliers of CNC controllers, MACH3 packages etc for Lathes & Mill's in Australia ?
This conversion will be a little different if...
I don't have access to the machine I used anymore, but recall that the tool changer was OK to use once the factory walked me through it step by step (no manual as usual). Calibrating it was a pest of...
I should add the one thing that NCCAD does not support that should be an absolute must is a tool measurement device. This makes it very tedious to calibrate in and measure tools.
I have to concur - it probably can be made to work, and in fairness the factory did help me at every question. The problem is for a product of this price the documentation should be 1st class and...
Thanks, that ties in with the info I have about mach3 in general terms. I'm hoping someone will know specifics to allow me to decide whether to make the change.
I've encountered a limitation in NCCAD. I'm woundering if the same limitation applies to mach 3.
I need to turn a left hand, internal thread. Pitch 4.75mm max depth of 3mm. It seems NCCAD simply...
Drew a blank so ordered from the UK supplier. Will post some feedback once they arrive in the hope it maybe useful to someone else in the future.
