Looking good! That electronics cart is a work of art, very nice job  I like the added touch of the dzus fasteners for the cover panels.
Brad
no, leave the speed alone and just bump the voltage a bit.
Brad
You do know that as soon as you sell that tumbler someone will come along with a large order that they want tumbled....
Brad
Bump your voltage up a bit and that will raise the torch height (assuming you have automatic torch height control). Try 1/2 a volt at a time until you get rid of the problem with blowback debris on...
Lookin good so far RW. When I first seen the size of the lid on your cart, I thought you were going to have a 46" big screen in there for a monitor..lol.
One suggestion, if you are looking for...
Dont know if its the best or not but I just get mine from my LWS (Praxair). They are close to internet pricing (slightly higher) but the little bit extra you pay is worth it to develop a relationship...
No problem WSS, glad I could help
Brad
Dave,
You could always go with an air bladder design, it seems to work pretty well on my table. Mine takes about 15 seconds to fill and 45 seconds to empty. One added bonus I've found with the...
You build nice tables Dave, I'll be following along as you go. Are you planning any changes or building this one the same as the last 2?
Brad
-Did you get a pinout chart or wiring diagram of both sides of the CPC (circular plastic connector) so you could double check that all the pins and sockets are in the correct orientation? Thats where...
-Was it working fine BEFORE you twisted the CPC connector off? If so then that is most likely where your problem is. If you twisted it off because you were troubleshooting a no start problem, then...
Call the Hypertherm tech support line and see if they have a pinout diagram for the CPC connector. Double check all the connections and make sure the wires are in the proper orientation, that all...
Jim,
Is there a single part number for a Powermax 85 (north america 220 volt single phase) with cpc, rs485, 25' 75° hand torch, and 25' 180° mini-machine torch? Basically a 087135 with the rs-485...
So then, you would prefer to buy a more expensive torch body when the next collision happens? You might want to read Jim's last post once more.

13-Contents of the Hypertherm torch repair kit (instructions not shown). The instructions are pretty straight forward but it is always nice to have some clear pictures to guide you along. The torch...
7- remove the two #1 phillips screws that hold the retaining cap switch in place. note that the switch assembly is 2 pieces, but they can only go back together one way.
8-remove the slide from the...
I received my rt-60 hand torch repair kit last week and installed it on the weekend. I figured I would snap some pics along the way in case anyone else ended up having to repair their torch.
pic#...
Roger, see post 96 in my build thread here:

My plasma cutter is a powermax 1000 as well....
I woud class your as more of a component build. Building from scratch isnt buying a carriage assembly and premade drives. Scratch built would be buying a chunk of raw aluminum and a bag of bearings...
You can buy a premade table from Torchmate, Dynatorch, etc or you can build from kits or you can build from components, or from scratch. It all depends on your fabrication skills, fab equipment...
Bypass all filtration and refrigeration to test if your air flow problem is in front of the plasma cutter. Run a direct air line from the compressor to the plasma cutter and see if the problem goes...
I thought you guys might enjoy seeing what Ive been working on while my plasma table is down and waiting for parts. Since I already had these cut out, I figured I would work on my firepit for the...
Best advice Ive seen posted. That controller looks like it is one step up from binary language. Offer scrap steel price for the table and throw away everything that has to do with cutting or motion....
There is no magic chart for plunge rate. It will all depend on the mechanics of your machine. You want the plunge to happen as quick as possible without stalling your motors or overshooting. You will...
Plunge rate and pause at end of cut are done in sheetcam as part of your "jet cutting tool" settings. You should have a different tool for each thickness and type of material you cut.

Thought I would add an update to this thread. I went out to the shop to play around with the table some more on Thursday only to find my plasma cutter would only make a small "blip" and then the...
I guess that the real key to customer satisfaction on this issue is distributor education and perhaps a warning/larger warning on the listing in the distributor's catalog specifying that consumables...
Just go around and make sure there isnt stuff laying around thats a fire hazzard ie: rags, gas cans, paint thinner, parts washer left open. Fire resistant covering on the walls is a good idea. I have...
I would NEVER run a plasma table in my basement. The fire hazzard alone is enough to make that thought leave your head forever and forget you ever thought about it. Whats wrong with the garage your...
