Why would you do so many roughing passes. I would not rough any of the first .125 I would simply use a vcmt turning tool and take one pass. That is what these machines are designed to do. I would...

I am not sure about the L20's but on my L32's all I have to do is put and R1 on the G821 line "G821 R1". This takes gang tools to furthest x position.
Mountain_Hiker, I think in option 2 you...
Unless he is a board sponsor most of the forums I am a member on would have already got rid of this fool. Every one of his 38 post are trying to sell something.
Joseph,
My problem was actually very simple. The belts on the main spindle were loose and very greasy. So what was actually happening to me was that the motor its self would stop with the mo5...
I attended the 4 day class in 09. The class was structured very well the problem with our class was that we had about 8-10 in there that had never even ran a citizen. So we spent way to much time...
Wow, talk about a delayed reaction. This post is almost 3 years old. But you were correct the belts were loose and oily causing them to slip. Thanks for the reply though.
Thanks tony. That was it I had to swap my x and y. Glad I'm not the only one to have this
As the title says I am trying to make a simple 3d path but when I post my X and Y axis moves are mirrored. When I run simulation and watch the move list all moves are correct but when posted X and Y...
Yes I get alarm 010 improper g code
Ok I am having trouble with g74 peck drilling. I can get the peck cycle to work but I can not get it to retract all the way out of the just. It just retracts a set amount. The machine has a fanuc...
Do you have high pressure coolant. I have done a lot of deep hole drilling using Mitsubishi carbide coolant through drills. They make drills as long as thirty times the diameter. Much much faster...
That is exactly what I am looking for right there.
Yes that is pretty much what I want. If you run verify the way it was programmed you can see where the cutter is digging in to the area of the part that is uncut. You can hopefully see that in the...
Thanks that is much better on the boundary. It is still digging the center into the forging. I changed the boundary colors to help describe what I am needing. the part of the boundary that is...
Burrman, I have tried with tool tip and tool center. As far as I can tell I get the exact same cuts. I did think about offsetting the boundary, my question on that is. Would I have to offset half of...
Hopefully I can explain my problem without to much confusion. I am having trouble getting a 3d path to work. I am working from a raw forging I have a angle i need cut on one side of the part. I am...
Hey was just curious if you got this to work as you wanted or if you were still in the dark?
You can also highlight the whole part and then right click, copy, smash, then you have all your arcs lines and points you can click to.
Ok i am certain i have entered everything in correctly. Like i said though if you do this first thing when the machine is powered up it works. if i manually do a start position or if i run this...
just Z1 axis list a distance to go. It is something like 10 inches positive. If i go back to G53 z-#818 it also alarms but a negative distance to go.
Z axis over travel. Traveling toward the GB this time.
I am still having problems with this on the L6-32. I changed the g53 line to #872-#818. The first time I ran the program it worked just like it should, went right to start position after cutoff. ...
thank you. I am trying to learn how all this stuff works. Kinda got thrown to the wolves with the swiss machines. Learning as i go though..
I am trying to use this on my L6-32 but i am having trouble with the G53 -#818. It wants to go to minus what is in my mc data from machine zero. It is not going to the start position.
No as i said last night if you comand a G41 or G42 in any other mode than G17. You will get an alarm.
I may be wrong but i think if you try using g41 or g42 in any other plane than g17 you will get an alarm. The alarm will probably say something like cutter comp illegal in x-z plane
hi
I have a fairly new skt210sy with a fanuc series 18i-tb control. i am trying to use a 1.5" insert drill for drilling crs I keep getting this alarm. it will not even start to drill before...
We have recently purchased a demo SKT210SY. I need help with a few things first. When a M05 command is issued is the spindle supposed to stop or coast to a stop. If there is a command i need to...
sorry i know i am not the best at explaining what i mean. here is what i think i am saying. If i command G0 X0 Z0 the turrett in my machine goes as far away from the chuck as it can. almost like...
ok tried the G28 U0 W0 T0. the machine will atleast move toward the turret now. however now it goes way past where i have the tool zeroed at. if someone had a simple sample program i could look at...
