All i'm really looking for is removing the file name restrictions
So I augmented my Tormach PCNC1100 with a new HAAS VF2SS with the Next Gen Controls. sweet..
I use Solidworks and HSMWorks for solidworks.. latest NGC post.
the post will only allow me to...
I'm honored! But I have to tell you that I scrapped the design in favor of another.. it worked but I didnt like having the encoder spinning all the time (even though it was rated for it) plus the...
Actually it hsnt really died so so much has just stalled. I have all the parts made and am ready to start tearing into it but got distracted by some paid work, which turned into more paid work,,...
Anyone have any intel on a post processor to go from HSM works to Tormach's 15L lathe?
Awesome... thanks!
Anyone know how to path pilot G Code a move to the Z upper limit without moving the other Axis?
nice... who makes the tube? and the power supply?
When did CNCZone become a venue for Chinese advertisement?

I dont have any idea, and I dont plan to find out.. why? because I simply dont need to.
Win I ran Windows/Mach I was constantly having to tweak settings, troubleshoot problems, check with user...
This youtube vid answers the questions fairly well.. I wonder if a fiber laser can cut thin wood like the CO2?

Not exactly. Tormach chose to use a Mesa card in in a motherboard slot, with a BOB that's "smart"... firmware controls the pinout... Then, they made a custom HMI screen, which is why the Tormach...
Well let's hope. My finger is on the trigger and it's starting to twitch :)
you have any examples?.. be interesting to see what a cannon looks like when it's making scratches :)
ya, lower powers can too. I guess what I'm wondering if the brute force lasers can still do nice delicate printing on small parts?
If I had one I'd try it but, I dont... yet.
looking at getting...
Just curious if a capable cutter could also do a decent job of laying down part number/logos on anodized parts?
Precisely why I stopped using any Mach product, and went to LinuxCNC/Pathpilot.
Zero issues since.. absolutely zero.
I got a Dake 1 at a swap meet for $30.. looked almost new. Push bushing and dowel pins all day.. Pemnuts... done a walnut or two also :)
Try posting in the Yahoo Tormach users group too. I bought my used Series II from a widow 500 miles from my home, she posted on Yahoo..
I use HSMworks with PathPilot, it works the exact same way.
i have my vernier height gauge ( A vintage Starrett handed down from my grandfather ) sitting on the Tormach granite block with the hole...
+1 to all 3
I turned away from Mach and never looked back.
Now I'm able to focus on making stuff, instead of trying to coax the software to work.
Hey Jim, I'd like to try your software.. How do I get it.
I'm not looking forward to dismantling my little router, and I'd love to replace the last MACH install I have....
Galil is awesome BUT, the plugin for Mach3 is buggy and devoid of many features.. I'd advise against using it with Mach3 - I'm sorry I used it for my CNC router.
The machine will stop without any...
yay! sensors finally arrived...back to getting the hardware squared away.
so no matter which avenue I follow (mesa vs parallel port), I'll be making changes to hal, ini, and post processor...
PCW, is that possible? might there be an existing file that would do the job?
I was thinking I'd follow Turbo's method of using a parrallel port so that PathPilot wouldn't yell at me during an...
Lordy, I cant even imagine that. what state?
I'm in San Diego, Ca.. there's a town in Texas also called San Diego that I visited maybe 20 years ago. Little dump of a place, almost exclusively...
trivial for you,, difficult for me :)
new encoder has 40 teeth. so 40 As & 40 Bs or 80 between the two, or 160 state changes.. whichever value is important - is that low enough? I...
Finished machining new encoder wheel... still waiting for sensors to arrive..
