    Re: PSG612 Z Accuracy Improvement

Yes, the counter weight is intended to make it easier to raise the z column. I disconnected the counter weight, it made all the difference in the accuracy of the machine.

    PSG612 Z Accuracy Improvement

I don't post to forums very often, tho I do read here all the time. There is loads of good info on the Tormach forums here at cnczone and I thank you all for that. So it's time I repaid with a...

Re: Help with Power Drawbar installation

Well, I just looked at my 1100 and mine rocks ALMOST that much. Note that it only moves in that one direction, that is, perpendicular to a line along the two mount points. Finish the installation and...

Re: Help with Power Drawbar installation

The power drawbar floats on top of the spindle and is a little loose like that. Follow the directions to the letter, double check your work, and you will be good to go.
  5. Re: TTS ER-20's are killing my collets! Anyone see this before? Know what's happening

No problems here either, not on the tormach using ER20 or on another machine using ER16 collets.

One thing i did that helped a lot, not on the ER collets, but on my R8 collet. i have a power...

Re: Tormach Lathe Capabilies Questions + Turret?

A phase converter is not required. That's the job of the VFD that is in the Tormach lathe and pcnc1100. The requirements are 220v & 110v (US) single phase.

Ahh, miss-read that post by sniper

    Paul
I'm curious, is your machine completely powered up, reset, and homed? I have v1.9.3 and I could not select pocket circular until the mill was ready to run. I could then enter params and post...

    Re: PP 1.9.7

Wouldn't it be better to keep a "quiet" system for such a time critical computer process as cnc machining, than to have a networked (dropbox) system? Can dropbox be enabled/disabled at will?

    I...

    Re: PP 1.9.7

    No.
    READ THE RELEASE NOTES
... Guess I should have said, it was removed in 1.9.6b and no mention of it in the RELEASE NOTES for 1.9.7

Re: HELP! - Rigid Tapping Not Working

Read page 49 of the manual. It looks like M01/BREAK is active. When execution reaches the M01 line, the machine stops and requires clicking on CYCLE START to continue.
