Are you programming in assembly mode? If not you need to program in assembly mode and bring the vise model in and then place your part and program from there.
Anyone know how to change the screen saver to say something other than 'EZ TRAK'
I had my VAR create a post for me with N value at each tool change line and the N value matches the tool number.

What bearings did you use for replacements?
Yea I got a quote for HAAS rep to do it, the new spindle is 93-30-12005B. I’m looking for the internal bearing models. I’m going to rebuild mine vs replacing it. I was hoping to order the bearings to...
Anyone know what the spindle bearings are in a 2005 VF2SS - 12k spindle? Or have a spindle breakdown with parts list
Can you post a screen shot of what your trying to do
Took the cover off today and took a picture, red arrow pointing at it......it never stops blowing air.....haven't had a chance to route the tube to where it comes from.
Positive its coming from the P-Cool (programmable coolant) as in my initial post I stated "I took the cover off and along with the wiring there's a small 1/8" tube blowing air non stop."
Your default machine might be Metric in the TechDB. Set up a default machine in Inches.
What specifically are you trying to change?
I can hear constant air coming from my P-Cool, I took the cover off and along with the wiring there's a small 1/8" tube blowing air non stop.
What is the purpose of this?
Can I plug it? I...
Yes it is an SS machine.....I guess I didn't realize a tool changer had a drive. Looked in a couple other machines and they didn't have a drive for the tool changer. Thanks for the info
Anyone know what the drive on the right is for?
From left to right X, Y, Z, A....what is the 5th one labeled BL T/C?
I see what your saying, unfortunately I don't think there's much of a work around for this. I've had some very small high quantity jobs that had 3-4 tools, doing something quick, spot drill, drill,...
I have a tool holder tightening fixture I machined to match the CAT40 taper. My holders sit on the taper in the fixture on a surface plate and I use a digital height stand and set the height stand to...
As bhurts stated, I believe there is a way to do that and it tool changes like an umbrella changer does, you wont be able to pre-load a tool. I believe what it does is it grabs say T1 thats in P1 and...
What are trying to accomplish? The pocket #'s are random. T1 could start in P1 but once you start changing tools it will change pocket numbers. I don't believe there is any way to utilize a P# in a...
Curious as to how others use MDI on a HAAS. I just recently purchased a HAAS VF2SS and not used the MDI not deleting after code is executed.
I use it for short basic codes, calling up edge finder...

Yes, solenoids sound like they are functioning properly. Any way to test to verify? Somebody did mention possibly moisture in solenoid from traveling and temp change?
I am in Minnesota and the machine traveled in 32 degree weather for 4 hours, would it be in my best interest to give it a week or so to warm up and re check everything?
I picked up a 2005 HAAS VF2SS over the weekend and set it up.
I wasn't able to get the spindle to take a tool. The draw bar wasn't coming down far enough. I ended up following HAAS 30/40 Taper -...
If you need some further assistance let me know, I can give you my email if you want to send some files and I can try an guide you in the right direction.
You'll need to draw a plane at the desired angle and create a coordinate system and new operation on that same plane to use.
Waiting on customer response. Unfortunately the part was already manufactured and "Failed Customer Inspection". I received a inspection report this morning and responded immediately. I reviewed the...
That was a thought I had, was it was a clearance hole. I did forget to mention the following information was included in the notes when we got this job....(Tapped Holes: 4) see below.

Under your Leadin tab, un-select "Gouge check" and see if that helps. I've noticed sometimes you may have too much of a leadin or out to where its trying to start the toolpath where it will gouge the...
