Thanks all , i have no specific needs at this time. i have 10 or 12 stepper motors and many screws and slides that have been collecting dust for 10 years or so. Its about time to make them move, not...
are there any general purpose usb boards that can be hooked up to stepper drives , something thats not 10 years old and that is not dedicated to mack software. 3 or 4 axis. thanks
Hello:
I like drawing, but I like the hands on better, there is nothing to draw any more, looks like the cct. is really simple (kiss). If there is any body out there who is interested in this...
Hello:
It will be a while untill i get some test equipment together but if anyone wants to glue all the free software out there together and test out some
of this cct. I will gladly change the...
Thats about all the drawing for now. I am sure i will have to re-route some i/o lines due to re-mapping constrictions.
Now it is just a matter of reading and trying to understand the 500+ page data...
thanks grabik and H500 this makes things easier especially the usb to 232 thing. btw the ina chip in the diagram reads the shunt and will output to an adc for curent measuring.
if anyone out there...
Hello:
Thanks H500 for your input. I will look intoyour sugestions.
one of my intents was to use trapazoidal ramping, this also poses lots of questions.
upon setup:
1. Do I have the user load a...
Hello:
Attached is a new servo controller design similar to my old "MTMC" (multi type motor controller) from about 7 years ago.
The old desighn never got finished because I had a home breakin...
hello:
I am going to start a new thread with a new multi type motor controller design, thread called ... u guessed it.... New Multi Type Motor Controller
hope i can get some input and comments...
yeh, that's exactly what happened, got wiped out overnight, many years of collecting.
the size of the motor would depend of the fets you use. Big igbt's can always be mounted off board. but i lost the software and the gerber file, as well as my orcad design software, as well as my...
i was on ebay looking at the price of servo controllers, omg, there not cheap !!!
hello James
there is a bill of material with the mtmc controller. one has to down load the entire file from this post,
there is other information as well in that file.
thanks for your interest....
hello James: i have no bill of material. i posted this on the net a few years ago. since then, my computers, software test eq. etc got stolen. i found my original post on the internet and placed it...
I would also replace the usb chip with a pic 16f1855. This ic has a usb interface. i would use some of the xtra i/o's for possibly current limit, far and near limits, and have a few aux i/0 screw...
Having a quick look at the microchip web site, it looks like the dsPIC33EPXXXMC20X/50X or the likes would be a direct drop-in replacement.
one could loose the external osc, and use an adc for...
Here is a PIC based motor controller i designed about 5 years ago. I know it will work i partly tested it, but i have lost the software i wrote. Since then the PIC cpu's are more advanced and i would...
I to would like to wish Very best wishes for PminMo I will do my best to help if you let us know. I to have had a med. prob and haven't been around for a couple of years bit remember him well.....

hello
i don't use eagle either.
a screen shot or pdf would be nice
thanks
if it is a switching psu, the -12v may only be capeable of suppling miliamps. this is normal in computer stuff.
hello
here is a 1 phase/3phase controller design.
i have not tested it yet and have not completed the software.
i will complete it this year
bummer !!
you know these things are processor controlled.
but if the cpu was not working, it wouldn't count down or display.
sorry but your situation is a real wierd one.
no idea here , but i am...
i have not seen bubble memory in 25 years.
do you have a complete schematic of this board?
you could probably use static ram, but u need the plans.
a cpu sends an address to the address bus and...
drop a copy of your code here
thanks for the ac/dc shock headsup.
i actually thought that a dc shock causes your muscles to contract,
making it impossible to let go of a wire if you are holding it.
reguardless, its the silect...
i have 2, 24v sola din mount switching power supply's.
i called sola to see if i can series the 2.
the guy at sola told me not to do it.
i asked him about using blocking diodes between the 2...
thank you all for your advice.
i think i will just go to the junk yard and get 20
or so stove elements and wire them together as needed
on a bus bar.
perhaps suspending them on flat metal bars....
thanks for your reply.
i do have 5 of those heatsink blocks.
for a total of 15, evk31 moduels.
i guess it is a lot of power to get rid of.
i don't know of any other way of variably
bench...
