Re: ASAP - cnc from scratch

I follow Your works here and in cncinfo. It's quite interesting to have other option to control motors than only step-dir pulses, which are indeed very simple in aplication, but also quite slow and...

    Re: DMU 50 setup help

I'm not sure what U were willing to say.

Tool length in milling machines is ment to be measured from specific point on the spindle. It is quite close to face plane of the spindle, or exactly on it...

U should have encoders connected from motors to drivers. Anyway closed loop steppers don't work the same as servodrives. The drive just makes alarm signals when motor loses more than set amount of...

Did the machine worked earlier with no problems?
Looks like huge backlash, or loosing steps on turnovers, which could be caused by to high acceleration.

Re: Modify SolidCAM PP for Elexa G84

Easiest way is to edit pp and add equation for feed value (its f/s*1000) it should work anyway.
Values for f, and s are variables that u can easy find in gpp file.

    Re: Path doesn't make sense.

The code finishes on Y=0. If the machine doesn't go there it probably has some backlash. Code has nothing to do with it.
