Re: new Haas TM1P has arrived!

Hi tom o, its been a few months, how are your thoughts on the TM-1P now?

I've been looking at them as an upgrade from a Tormach. I have some parts that I could do that are 20-26" long, and the...

    Re: Tormach manual controls

Would you go into detail about how this is done?
  8. Re: How Much Horsepower Do You Use - How Hard Can you Push It

Have you tried the Shear Hog?

Also, if you are doing the same operation over and over, just hogging out material, and don't need to change tools, you could disable the PDB, go back to the shorter...

Yes, a 0.120" chamfer for the 0.109 hole.

I was able to get it to work last night. I set the dwell to 1.2seconds and I backed off the depth by 0.050".
After this, all the threads felt good,...

    Re: Form Tapping

Yes, I'm using the blue Mist Coolant Tormach sells, which had been fine for cutting threads and general milling, but after the first ones pulled out, put some Relton A-9 Aluminum Cutting Fluid on the...

    Re: Form Tapping

I watched the threads, I don't think its slipping, and I was able to tap using a drill chuck on a bridgeport. (These taps are brand new and have been in less than 10 holes of aluminum.)
    On the...

    Re: 1100 to 1100M???

When asking about a upgrading a Series 3 to a 1100M spindle, I was told the spindles were different cartridges and the head castings were different.
