  1. Re: Operating above the rated speed of my servo motor?

Interesting. My Maxsine EP1 servo driver has a Parameter P002 “Identity Code of Servomotor”. There is a table of servomotor codes later in the manual as shown below.

A code of “A102” is shown...
  2. Re: Operating above the rated speed of my servo motor?

So you don’t have to enter both a rated speed and a max speed? Does the Delta control already know that the servo rated speed is 3000 rpm. Does your Delta servo motor show somewhere that is has...
  3. Operating above the rated speed of my servo motor?

I have a 110SM04030 servo motor (maybe made by Changzhou Changhua Electric Motor?) that drives my spindle through a 1 to 1.5 pulley ratio. The servo is rated at 1.2kW, 3000 rpm, and 5.0 Amps with a...

    Re: MD001 cnc conversion

Thanks for your reply Joe. Rather than me hijacking this thread any more than I already have, where would be a good subforum to further discuss the idea of speeding up my servo spindle motor?

    Re: MD001 cnc conversion

How does that work? I have a servo spindle rated for 3000 rpm, but would love to run it faster if possible.
  6. Re: Repairing a Leadshine 3ND883 stepper drive

    Thanks for chiming in Craig.

Well, that sounds daunting. How about a less ambitious repair attempt similar to what Steven Rhine did? Or this chap in the video below?

  7. Repairing a Leadshine 3ND883 stepper drive

I am looking for help in troubleshooting and repairing a malfunctioning Leadshine 3ND883 3-phase stepper motor drive. The symptoms were that the drive would display a red alarm LED within a minute...

    Re: Microstep driver pinouts

Thanks John-100, your work came in super helpful when I tried to hook up a temporary drive on a Tormach 24R router. I can confirm that the 24R router uses the same exact 3 signal pins as you outline...
  9. Re: Replacing a Tormach 3-Phase stepper driver with a Leadshine driver

Problem finally solved. Changing the current setting on the dipswitch did the trick. I’m still not sure exactly why this current setting worked and the lower current setting didn’t.

    And right...
  10. Re: Replacing a Tormach 3-Phase stepper driver with a Leadshine driver

Thanks to Steven's link to the Tormach Github files, I was able to verify that the ECM is sending +5V DC control signals to the stepper drives. I will just need to make sure that the 3DM883 S2...
  11. Re: Replacing a Tormach 3-Phase stepper driver with a Leadshine driver

    Hello Steven,

Thank you very much for your help.

I have a picture of the control board and it says "ECM1V1.5".

Thank you for the Github link. I will look at it and see if I can make any...
  12. Replacing a Tormach 3-Phase stepper driver with a Leadshine driver

I’ve been helping a local high school where they have a 24R CNC router that has a bad Z-axis stepper motor driver (Tormach 32000 / Leadshine 3ND883). While waiting for the schools purchasing...

Great minds must think alike. I had also discovered the 3DM883 as the likely successor to the 3ND883. I found one on the eBay site of PLC Direct for $101.28 with free shipping. They say it could...

Thanks MM for your help. It looks like Leadshine, at least for their non-network stepper drives, has only the EM-S series and the DM series.
