Did you lose the Bios settings for RT-board, Sol? And are you capable of flashing it yourself?
If so you need to identify the rt-board id-number.

I found a faulty thyristor diode inside the psu. It shorted from one AC phase to DC+ bridge. When i replaced it, the machine powers up.
Thanks for the help everyone. Much appreciated.

Here's a picture of my psu.
So this is compatible or the same as the kollmorgen PSR4/5-275 ?

Ah, ok nice. Will do some more faultchecking first, but it is good to know, Mike.
What do you mean by transformer taps incorrectly, Pete?
That each phase match the PSU from the Transformer? So...
Thanks.
I have done some further testing now. After the M20 Contactor.
Disconnecting DC bus to drives -> short.
Disconnecting DC bus to drives and spindle -> short.
Disconnecting DC bus to...
Is it possible to just unhook the DC power from PSU going to the drives? So the drives do not get power when contactor M20 go live, and plugging them in 1 by 1 afterwards?
If all the drives DC...
Did you find out why the psu got damaged? Should some of the LED's on the psu show status before the M20 contactor kick in?
Maybe i should check the contactor itself also.
I might be mistaken on this, but the first time i tried to fire up the machine i thought i heard a load "bang". Like something burned up in a...
Yes, it happens right after it pulls the big contactor. I think its M20, yes. Will check for shorts on the wiring.
I did some voltage measuring earlier.
it was about 5% difference over all 3 legs...
The controller i A2100.
The electrician is now done with my new line for the mill.
It's 220volt with 100amp "c" characteristic fuse, so according to the manual it should be more than enough.
The machine boots without...
Ok, thanks for the help Al.
I will check it out more thoroughly.
30kva 3 phase on 220 volt net equals to under 80amps. So a 80 amp fuse should be sufficient at worst case scenario?
I don't know what it's called in english, but should i use a "slow" fuse to handle...
I'm not 100% sure, but i think the transformer was rated at 30kva?
I didn't find a service plate on this machine i'm afraid.
By powering up the machine, i mean after the controller is up. When feeding power to servos etc.
Anyone know how much amps are drawn at the exact point when powering up the machine?
I'm running my machine with 220volts to the transformer, but i can't seem to find the correct manual.
Since i...
Also since i think BB(RT),Conv.Servo,HD I/O Card and RT processor are all RealTime Board related.
I'm far from an expert, so i might as well be wrong:)
If you try to boot up the machine without the RT-Board in place, does it give the same errors?
If so, then there is a chance that the RT-Board bios lost its settings when you replaced the...
Forgot to reply after i did a bios re-flash on the RT-Board.
The controller is now booting without error or faults. The red light on the DV5 controller is gone :)
Thanks for the help everyone.
Yes, true. Just want to make sure the bios is in fact reset before i proceed.
Considering where i live caused some challenges in sending him the motherboard.
I’m going to check the bios before I go any further.
According to the motherboard manual, an atx powersupply is also supported on the G7VP2 rev b1.
Shorting out pin 1 and 2 on jp2 pins.
Thanks.
Took out the board today, but it looks like i need to find some ancient components before proceeding.
Found an interesting thread from zigwareCNC in 2010:

Looks like lost settings from RT board result in an DV5 board...
Wow, thanks for the quick response:D
I have a spare working harddrive, but that didnt change anything im afraid.
I tried booting up without the DV5 board also. It shows the exact same error :/...

You adjust it mechanically on T1000, T2000, T3000.
Then you adjust parameters. I start with T-Shift on systemparameter.
