Light bulbs x2 in series
Connected to dcv of psu
Results is 1 of the bulbs lit up very dim.
Shouldn't both of the bulbs have lit up much brighter?
Off to the garage!
Light bulb idea sounds good.
Thanks
Jim
The fuses blow even when nothing else attached to board except dc pwr??
Do you think it could be the pwr supply itself?
Maybe the different power from the rpc was enough
to damage it?
Is...
Ok I will.
Is there somwthing that commonly burns up on these boards?
Jim
Double and triple checked that idea.
Still blows.
Are there any othee ideas?
Just priced an AUF board - $1000 ouch!!
Will look more closely at board tommorow.
Thanks again for all your advice.
Cheers
Disconnected ALL the plugs going into that AUF board
and still blew the fuses??
What would this mean??
There is aroud 26 VDC across the capacitor and going
Into that board.
I measure about 50 ohms with the 39/40 plug removed
from the auf board.
Jim
I didn't notice a change in resistance as I unplugged
and plugged connectors in.
BUT I did have both fuses in and while I plugged in
wire 39 & 40 in the fuse 10 blew immediately.
This is...
You wired the input on the control transformer
For 230 input?
Isn't your lathe only 460 volt 2 speed weg motor??
Or was it replaced?
Have you ran your lathe yet?
And how does the 20hp rpc handle...
Checking every plug on the auf board right now.
Hope I find something??
I tested the bridge rectifier and the capacitor
They tested ok.
Then I measured the voltages as you described.
My findings were 26.7 volts DC between 24 and 39.
Fuse 10 did not blow with fuse 9...
Ok, thanks Jim.
I will do some more measuring later tonight and post my findings.
Thanks again
Jim
Here is a picture of the wiring schematic.
Fuses 9 and 10 are the one's blowing.
I measure 24 volts coming out of the transformer
into that fuse.
Would a short affect both fuses?
Jim
Thanks yet again
My voltages are 492/463/458 on the 3 phases coming
out of the step up transformer.
Are these close enough?
Also I keep blowing the 6 amp fuses for thè
24 volt supply...
Ok thanks.
Another question would be is I have a 10 hp rpc
and wanted to at least turn on lathe for setup etc..
Is it possible that my lathe wont even turn on as the recommended is 15 or 20 hp...
Hello all.
I recently purchased a used 1995 ez path 1 cnc lathe.
It WAS running off 600 volts at previous shop and stepping down to 460 volts with transformer.
I only have 230v single phase....
Any progress with the lathe?
Im going through the same thing right now.
Im trying to power my 1995 ez path with a 10 hp rpc just to test before buying a 15 or 20 hp rpc.
I wired the big built in...
Hi all
I have recently purchased a used 1995 Bridgeport Romi Ez path.
It has a 7.5 hp weg 460 volt 2 speed motor.
My question is how do I hook this thing up in my garage with my 10hp rpc?
I wired...
Hi
Just wondering if you did get this lathe sorted out?
Im doing the same thing right now and would like to know what you wnded up doing.
I used the transformer under the tailstock and wired for...
Hi,
I have just recently picked up a 1996 Tree 250 with a dynapath control.
Just wondering if you could guide me in the right direction as far as powering the mill.
I have a rotary phase converter...
Hi everyone on the forum.
I have recently acquired a 1996 Tree Journeyman 250 with Dynapath Autocon 40 control.
It had a step down transformer mounted on electrical cabinet when I got it 600 down...
