Sorry for the late reply I haven't been to the forum in months. The configuration the company gives you has incorrect settings for mach3 and will not work for US standards even if wired correctly and...
I finally figured it out. 4800 is the correct steps it is just I wasn't calibrating the units to those steps with my cnc machine (i.e. matching the units with my table's axis distance). I had to go...
Drawing a blank, units aren't translating to cutting table; still being scaled down to half their intended size 6" comes out ~3"...?
Thanks James, it is definitely night and day as far as noise, I've tuned them down properly so it is not as bad now. I've heard great things about gecko drivers and hope to invest in the future, but...
Thank you for all your help and advice... I will definitely try it as I need to re-tune everything now...I will be in touch, you've helped me out of a simple jam that I would have other wise over...
I think I've got it had to adjust screw holds on machine, will test later as lightning storms are moving in...thanks for all your help.
what do I tune my motors to I'm trying different ranges and they are stalling out?
sorry, you're dealing with a new guy here... I did put 4800 at one point, but I guess I got confused with power settings/noise from the stepper. So dialing in 4800 should fix it?
I think I see it now that you mention it... 12 tpi acme screws, 1600 steps 79.98 vel./ 40acc on x axis. I spent so much time trying to decrease stepper noise/running smoothly that I didn't pay...
yeah, my native units are in inches...what is the fix/problem? Thanks
No cutting, just as if the bit was replaced with a pen tip.

I can edit scale on the machine coord's, but want it to show cutting to real time scale. Scaling up would take the machines movements off the boundaries of my table?
I cannot figure out how my drawings are being scaled down before milling. In autodesk/autocad mech. the units are set correctly and they match up in cambam /mach3 as well. But upon cutting on my...
I can understand, I have finally finished putting together my cnc machine, and wiring everything after months (maybe years) of deliberation a little at a time (still more to calibrate). I will be on...
Thanks doorknob, always a huge help to the new guys...yeah I've read that many have been making all sorts of modifications to the tb6560 including the one you've linked to, it is a more versatile...
My board's power settings are odd as the diagram doesn't show a 1/4 parameter... just full, 1/2,1/8, 1/16 using 25% buffer setting respectively. I've tried dialing it down, but still they are...
Thanks I will do so... I am using values 150 for velocity and 75 for acceleration @ 1/16th step. Should I go back up to full steps and dial it all the way down (nothing greater than 40 and start from...
I have recently installed my steppers (1.8, 270oz nema 23s) into my cnc machine, with the much talked about TB6560 bob (24v+ power supply, running with licensed mach 3). Everything runs fine on all...
Thanks, hopefully I won't need to, and hope I don't make it number two! Good news then, thanks again
Hello, I am new to all things cnc so please bear with me. I have been posting here and have been receiving a lot of great help. I have a Dell GX620 SSF and have read that I should put a separate...
Thank You, your advice is saving me a lot of trouble!!
I just attached a file of what the seller sent me, and I still can't tell what goes where, which is A+/-, B+/- etc. and which to cap off. What should the voltmeter be reading out for me to know what...
thanks, I was just on the kysan site...thanks again!
Thanks George could you link me to the spec. sheet? I found the volt meter, but its an old dial that doesn't seem to be working, better invest in a digital to be safe.
Found this much so far, am still searching, I think I may have a volt meter...haven't used it in a while and am going to try and track it down. Thanks

Thanks for your reply, I am looking it up now...one moment
