I am running a 3" WOC at 0.055" DOC, 40 IPM and 2500 RPM. The finishing pass is the same recipe with only 0.005" DOC.

I will definitely give that 0.050" DOC 3" WOC a try but I already ran the other recipe and I was not able to hold 20 ipm because the spindle bogged down on me. I could only get about 15 ipm.

Do you mind elaborating on why you would choose the 25mm center cut insert end mill? Are you getting really good material removal rates? Is it a stable and rigid tool?

    Thanks!
