Can anyone share a post for Woodwop with me. Just got a new machine and the tech is here this week. I would like to be able to run a sample program while he is here. Bobcad told me it could be two...
Thanks,
That worked great.
What would be the best way to add a space in a line?
Thanks,
Zach
I am trying to add some line of codes into my post. I had done this previously, but had a hard drive crash and didn't have the modified post backed up.
Basically I want a window to pop up so the...
On my CNC router we use a ZShift function to reference the top of the material. The ZShift is the sum of the material thickness and a 1/4 wasteboard. I have my post setup that it brings up the...
I always have trouble ramping into a profile cut. The machine never finishes the cut where it ramped in. The tool path looks OK on the screen and everything simulates fine. Could it be problem with...
TonyW,
That worked. Thanks for the help.

Can anyone help me out. When I opened Bob V25 this morning I got this error. Here is a screen shot of it.

Thanks for the reply. I will give them a shot and see what I can do.

I remember a while back Burrman putting up some examples that he rendered with different textures. I design a lot of wood components and was wondering if there is any inexpensive or free programs...
I just upgraded to V25 and have been working on getting everything set up. I have my post almost where I want it but I am having one problem that I can't seem to figure out. Every time I post code it...

Looking for recommendations for this project I am working on. I have to make torsion boxes for each of these steps. The top of the torsion box will extend back to catch the bottom of the next step....
Whenever I start trying to manipulate the lines in the z axis it pulls them oddly from the top view and takes them off my panel. It looks like it is not pulling them straight down but at and odd...
We use double refined MDF when we do projects for painting. With normal MDF you might see some warping from breaking the denser top surface. The Double refined is a denser product throughout, which...
I got it to come up using the emboss from image, but I don't have the smoothing function and it looks kind of rough. I had bobart pro on previous versions (I have been with bobcad since it was dos...
Al,
The only reason I was steering away from using the Bobart was because I have to do large panels 4' x 8'. I was playing around with the bobart and panels that were smaller were taking to long...
I was wondering if anyone ever made these type of panels if so what was your process? I know it could be done with Bobart, but the machining time for a 4'x8' panel would be too long. I was thinking...
The M31 code pauses the program until the spindle gets to the appropriate speed.
I don't see anything wrong with the code.
Do you have the spindle rpm adjustment at 100%.
If you don't get...
Thank you for the response.
I ended up scaling in my old V20 then bringing it back in.

Is there anyway to scale an object in x-axis only? I remember being able to do this in previous versions. I have a dxf file of a carving I want to emboss in bobart but I need to stretch it a little...
Here is a lithophane that I engraved into a 1/4" sheet of solid surface (corian). Burrman helped me a lot as far as editing the picture and getting the tool paths correct. I used a slice planer with...
I use Onsrud v-carve bits. They have a few different ones with different angles depending on the letter size. The part numbers are 37-82, 37-87, 37-92 and 37-97.

I am running a Toshiba with the i7 quad core processor and 4 gig of ram. I only time I have had any problems is with Bobart and computing toolpath that are very complex.
Zach
I Figured it out.
The process is:
Right Click "Milling Tools"
Left Click "Part"
Left Click "Tool Pattern"
Left Click "Hole"
Then delete the operations you do not want included.
I am nesting some parts that have a drill operation. I only want a single drill operation. Is there anyway to remove the centerdrill and chamfer operations?
Thanks,
Zach
I just started to have a problem with the ramping feature. The first part of the ramp is starting from my rapid clearance. The result is the cut does not get finished in that initial ramp movement....
I was out of town last week, so I didn't get your response. Here is one I did that is about 3mm deep. Let me know what you think.
