Hello all,

I had the same problem. To solve.....Start the cutter off the board, run the length (or width) and make the next cut coming back the other way the same.
That way you are never pushing on the bottom...
Hi Dan,
Just purchased a new Hitachi wj200 vfd. First question is if your setup will work with this VFD? Second, if it does, could you repost the most current configuration and downloads needed...
Now that makes sense. My spoilboard needs resurfacing so I'll give that a try.
Thanks!!!!
Where are you located to calculate shipping charges?
No I never contacted them. I just use it with the two side bits and call it a day!!!
I used the same bit to surface my spoilboard. I found that the bottom cutting bits are slightly recessed from the side bits. If you take a shallow cut, the bottom bits just sit there and burn.
I...
Hi Zak,
Do you have the Nema 34 CRP800 connected to the Huanyang VFD? If so Could you share the setup?
Could you take some quick photos of the wires on the VFD and where they are connected inside...
They weigh very little. The machine is up and running for 2 years.
Here the pictures.
Running last night for over an hour and the spindle stays cool to the touch.
I can send them tonight when I get home.
I bought the same pump and purchased a small "radiator and fan" used to cool computers. Mounted everything on the gantry and ran a 12v wire from the main control box. I wired it so it's on all the...
I agree, but circumstances dictate that I keep this job in house.
Anybody have any guidelines/industry standards they can suggest??
thanks
Hello All,
I need some help/suggestions on pricing. I've attached a DXF of what the customer wants cut out of .063 aluminum. I need to save all the letter holes to be installed on a background...
1/4" O-flute bit....16-18K rpm and around 100 in/min cuts fine.
you can slow the rpms down to 15k and the feed rate down to 70 inch per min
I just cut some 1/4 inch today with no problems.
If you...
This is extruded acrylic. thanks for the suggestions. I'll try them over the weekend and post back.
Used the same bit from Onsrud along with a 1/4". Same results no matter the bit/feed/speed..I think it is a machine problem either in the movement or software.
Pro4896 - nema 23s - g540 - ess smooth stepper.
Been trying to solve bad cuts in 1/4" acrylic. The cuts look like corduroy. See photos attached. I did find one problem which was a flat spot on one...
Hey 520052,
Where do you get the "ball turret" that is on your vacuum line? Is it available in 4"
Thanks
What I'm struggling with is that this exact electrical set up worked for hours at a time with my old machine albeit it was only 30x40 and was not running at the speeds I am now.
Hello All,

Hello,
I'm upgrading my current machine and will probably go with the pro4848. Your progress postings will help greatly. Would you be willing to share the g-code for the vacuum plenum you designed?...
Hello,
I've built a 30x40 CNC loosley based on CNC Router Parts unit. I'm running nema 23 motors running an x and slaved a axis with ball screws.
Running Mach3 and a g540 driver.
The bottom line...
Thanks guys,
I'm not sure I understand how a timing belt would help. Would it be connected between the two motors? What would happen if one of the motors stopped or stalled?
Could you elaborate or...
Hello All,
I have reworked my home build machine to include ball screws and motors on each side of the Gantry. Everything seems to be working smoothly.....
My concern is .....What happens if ONE of...
Just finished reworking my machine to use ball screws on the x axis. Y and Z stayed the same and worked fine prior.
Also hooked up x and y limit switches which were inactive before.
Now here is the...
