  2. Re: Somebody using soluble oil for mist cooling machining - no rust ? Mixture?

I used 5% soluable oil and water in a Dyno I built out of a Chrysler fluid coupling unit ( like a torque converter with a manual clutch on the back of it) in about 1959. Probably had a lot of mist in...

    Re: opinion?

About 43 years ago I shared equipment with a guy that had an old hand tracer mill that had an X and Y handle that the operator used trace a part. It was surplus from a high school from many years...

I can see that you are a tinkerer and builder for building sake, like me.

If I am wrong, please explain your purpose for building and your expected finished product and usage.

Re: Will new tariffs affect our hobby?

    Now for a non-political answer !!!

Will it stop you from building your dream if it costs 10% more on 25% of your items?

Re: Limit Switches work in NO but not in NC

Normally open switches need to wired in parallel.

Normally closed switches need to wired in series.

    Did you change the wiring?

Re: Is self leveling epoxy a must?

Don't forget that the epoxy will have a miniscus so you should have the dams wide enough to have it flat wider than you think you need.

Don't ask me how I know. You can guess.

  24. Re: Ran into trouble using epoxy to level linear rails

Warming is a 2 edge sword. Heat makes it cure quicker. I think some experiments in thinning VS complete curing is in order if the mfg can't tell you all about it.

Spreading it evenly helps a lot,...
