    Re: Torch Height Control advice

I use this THC together with UCCNC on my homebuilt plasma table. I am happy with it and it does what I expect of it.

Unknown to most is the fact that the THC3T-02 is both "step and direction"...

    Re: UCCNC lathe controller

    Another thing to consider.

The UC400ETH can be bulkhead mounted. Which can be an advantage in some cases.

LEDs are visible outside a control cabinet. Ethernet cable can plug in directly.

Re: New MODBUSEZ SetUp Plugin For UCCNC

I see the Hitachi WJ200 is a later model than my discontinued X200/SJ200

If different VFDs have different specs for things like frequency register then would not ModbuzEZ need a setting for that? ...

Re: New MODBUSEZ SetUp Plugin For UCCNC

Hitachi VFD requires a value 0 - 4000 to represent frequencies output of 0 - 400. Are all VFDs the same in this respect?

    Thanks for the response Dan.

It is worth mentioning that if I download the X200 manual PDF from Hitachi, that it is different to the printed manual that came with mine.
    This caused some confusion...

Hitachi X200, USB to 485 converter

At first I could not get ModbusEZ to work for the life of me. So I gave up and went with the Modbus Master plugin that comes installed with UCCNC.

    Re: G-code with laser

F200 position shouldn't make any difference in either example.

Remember you are commanding the rotary axis (A axis) to move 200 units per minute. If your units are degrees (typical) then that...

Have not had a chance yet to try this.

However I wanted to say how much I appreciate your efforts on this.

    Thankyou Gentlemen for the response.

It was all I could manage just to set up Mach3 Modbus to talk to my VFD, so unfortunately I can be of no help.

    Just a simple carpenter. :)

Slightly off topic but concerning Modbus.

One reason I have not moved my router over to UCCNC is that presently I control the VFD/spindle via modbus with Mach3.

I find Modbus to be superior...

However the AWC708 works OK. They all have their little quirks.
