I am about to swap my VFD for a bigger one.
My current VFD is connected to the MB3 with ESS in this way:
MB3 - VFD
AO - VI
AG - ACM
CM1 - S1
N01 - DCM
HOPEFULLY this fixed it…..
I started playing with the connector at my cabinet and low and behold I could make it error and work that way. Took it out of the cabinet and started to remove the heat...
An update to the update. Rebooted everything just in case and hit ref all and Z wasn’t moving again. Looked at the status LEDs and it was flashing green so it should have been good to go. Connected...
A little update. I changed HLFB to just say the servo was ready for all four. Then I started cutting and realized I had set retraction way too high in my toolpath so I hit stop. When I came back and...

I'm using the Mach4 built in ones. I guess I didn't think of checking the settings internally programmed to that button
I’m still stumbling my way through learning Mach4 after using Mach3 for 10 years. I’m starting to understand it better but could use some simple help.
I was able to get the Go To Work Zero button...
I posted this in the Newfangled forum but haven't had a reply so hoping the brain trust here can help.

Now I'm realizing what a pain it is to create a cut file using a drawing to do this.
Is there a simple way to tell it to repeat the sequence over and over until stopped?
I'm having a Teknic engineer logging in and helping tune my dual axis gantry tomorrow. In the email getting ready for this they requested this:

Mactec54 sorry I thought I responded to you but apparently I didn't!
I finally have everything else setup and running on my machine so this is the last piece of the puzzle I need to finish.

Marv this is exactly what I was hoping to find a way to do in Mach4 since I was basically able to do it with the 2010 screen set in Mach3. I know this is an old thread but was crossing my fingers...
If I hit the limits when I'm just jogging them myself they don't appear to have this back off behavior. I have to override them and jog off of it. It's only when I'm using the servo's home to hard...
Nope, definitely as limit switches. They hit and seem to just barely back off and disengage when they hit it. My homing switches back off the .10 I have specified.
And that doesn't work. Hit the Axis Limits Override button and then enable. As soon as it hits a limit it stops, slightly backs off and disables the servos. Hit enable again and it hits the next axis...
Thanks Craig. I appreciate it. I about have my machine rebuilt and set up correctly to the MB3/ESS. I guess my next step will be learning curve of making things work, like my touchplate script, laser...
I asked this in the official Mach 4 Forum and no replies as of yet so I figured I'd ask here.
I have my clearpath servos set to home to hard stops when they are enabled by Mach4 for the 1st time...
Ok disregard my last reply for the most part. Nothing I change in the ESS plugin screen seem to get rid of the tripped home switch alert and I cannot make it go faster when homing. I changed it from...
I am using the ESS and found the back of settings.
I have the switches set to active low in the ESS plugin configuration screen but it won't stick in the Mach4 input screen. I'm also finding none...
I didn't get any replies from the actual Mach4 forum so maybe someone here knows the answers to these questions?
