Micro Slant 15 ?
Thank you.
Awww you're making me blush ! :)
I have to agree on sending one to Rod, he is very good at this and he is also very good at analyzing and detailed reporting of the results.
You can also send one to me, i would love to give it a...
There is so much confusing and plain wrong informations about pilot arc and everything related to HF HV plasma etc, that i am baffled ! How did that happen? Where was i when that happened? Who...
Blatantly copied and pasted from:

From extensive experience on this forum and on...
The Jocker looks like it is made on a router/mill, not a laser. Check the corners.
Most probably a failed hard drive.
What machine ?
Try at least 1/8 or 1/16 miceostepping, that will make them much smoother.
Is that something you make lots of ?
I have made two machines so far for gold and silver, but i build them way to strong for what they have to do. Those cheap chinese ones might work but you will be...
At 1.5 meters length spinning the ballscrew at 1000rpm is looking for trouble, big trouble. At 800 they started vibrating, 2505 that is. And it is 1.5m for 1.25m cut area or thereabouts.
There are...
Had plenty of PCI parallel cards with MosChip made by NetMos, all worked.
There are some that will not work with Linuxcnc as they are software driven.
Two options:
Change the wiring to all negatives to ground and positives to bob/paraport.
Since you are using mach there is timings to be set somewhere at the motor tuning screen so set the timing...
You can use stepper and servo drives with Linuxcnc, analog or step/dir type, with analog drives you get the loop closed in Linuxcnc so even when something goes wrong you know what hapoened and by how...
If ut is for hobby use once or twice a week, it is ok.
For anything more it is not.
It is an inverter so high frequency start, but you never know.
This is to inform you that there have been some major developments in Linuxcnc regarding plasma cutting and THC control lately that you might want to check.
More info at forum.linuxcnc.org

Proma SD needs to be configured for your drives, as in you jave to set the steps for mm or inch. Most probably you have that set to low so it can not keep up with the change in voltage.
You should really do some more reading before you accuse someone of confusing things.

That statement in the original post is not correct.
Pilot arc is ANY plasma that has the means to strike an arc without physical touch, so that include HV AND HV/HF start plasmas.
Scratch start and...
5i25 or 6i25 with 7i76 or 7i77 will do just fine, depending on if you want to have the loop closed in Linuxcnc or just in the drives.
I am using them with 7i77 so Linuxcnc has full control.
You can...
For Linux
2D and 2.5D i use Inkscaape with gcodetools
For pictures, you can open them directly in linuxcnc but a bit complicated so i use dmap2gcode easy to use and works greaat
3D or more Pycam...
What is the voltage on the 5V connector for logic power supply? If it is under 5V your power supply is to weak to power logic and encoders , you need 2A to power everything.
If you are geting that...
Try machinekit, that might be what you are looking for.
That is due to one of your a is vibrating while moving so check for play on both axis, if using rack and pinion check the tooth aligment and proper seating, if you hav motors directly driving pinions...
NO, not for the motors, that is for mains interference filtering.
Do not connect that to motors. Does not have anything to do with motors.
With god end mills, very little (relatively speaking), so 16mm screws should do just fine, i am using them in a small mill for aluminium and i can push it way more than the spindle can handle with a...
Glad you made it work ! Giving up never pays off.
I use HiWin 25 so it is easier, larger hole. Now i am using some THK35 and they have a 90 degree adapter mounted on them so it is much easier to...
Nice, as always. I do admire your attention to details and the persistence in making such nice looking machines.
Mine end up looking .....not so good!! I am getting better at it, though. Also, mine...
Last 5 years - over 30, this year - 8 and another 3 in the works.
Mostly small cnc picture engravers, small vertical mils and cnc plasma cutters mixed with 2 cnc foam cutters.
All this i have done...
I use a syringe filled with oil for my HGH25, remove the screw, fill with oil, put back the screw.
I worked for me for the last 6 or 7 years, using ATF while building machines and SAE 90 after...
And more importantly, check and replace the Y axis motor, check the wires first. Finding out that Y axis has problems and keeping on running it, is not helpful, problems do not magically disappear....
