If any one knows where the X5 Z limit switch is physically located I would still like to know.
Hi Neilw20, I’m in Sydney, Kings Langley.
I’m a watchmaker, hand making a watch with the view to...
Hi Neilw20, I will try it out > current setting was 4, new setting 100. I'd still like to know where I can access the switch - it's not visible from the front of the machine.
My X5 is always miss setting the Z Axis Home position (Reff All) - it can find any number of different positions. Does anyone know where the switch is located...the tech drawings never mention it....
Thanks so much! I will give this a go myself! Using APT-CL output explains a lot about where unseen code is to be found - I could not see half of what I expected when I first generated a post.
Thanks Waywood, I'll try and run some code and test this out. How did you work out '-142 about the X axis' from that code I showed you?
looks like the issue is Rhinocam, see below:
FEDRAT/MMPM,114.000000
GOTO/-0.238197,1.500001,0.600001
RAPID
GOTO/-0.238197,1.500001,9.962194
MOPNM/Set MCS 4...
just to add clarity, the Z axis is now rotated 128 deg, and the Y axis is +1.18, X axis 3.52 from the origin.
Hi, I'm having trouble getting Rhinocam 1.0 to output code when making a change to the MCS during a milling operation to cut the face of a tooth on a 4 toothed wheel cutter M0.17 I'm making.
Below...
Yes, thanks. I went to the Mach3 forum and Hood advised me that the Smooth Stepper settings for the filtering value for E-Stop in the SS config needed to be set (they were set to 0.0), as he advised...
Hi, I need some help with my X5 2011 setup. The spindle start up (eg S1000 M03) makes the spindle go to speed (around 1350 rpm) but causes mach3 to throw an estop at the same time. I've tried...
I'll take a look at Sprutcam too, thanks.
Thank's for that - I'm thinking Rhino will be a better solution. My next issue will be to get the trunnion built - there is not much Z depth to play with but i'm only going to be milling tiny stuff....
I would like to know if you completed your 5th axis set up - can you confirm the board connections for the driver from the 5th axis interface?
