  1. Re: WEG CFW300 VFD + KL-800 water cooled spindle settings

    Problem solved...

Setting max voltage and frequency sets the 100% point on the V/f curve - but doesn't adjust any of the other points.

50% voltage at 30Hz, and 100% voltage at 60Hz will...
  2. WEG CFW300 VFD + KL-800 water cooled spindle settings

    VFD: WEG CFW300A06P0S1NB20
120V single phase in, 220V three phase out, 1.5HP
    ...
  3. Re: Spindle won't stay on, software stops while running code

I'm absolutely certain it is noise - but is the noise causing a blip on the e-stop? On a limit switch input? Causing the USB controller to reset?

It seems like there has to be a way to see WHAT is...
  4. Re: Spindle won't stay on, software stops while running code

I was going to try that - but the MK 3/4 doesn't have ethernet, only USB.
  5. Re: Spindle won't stay on, software stops while running code

I'm not using the PlanetCNC board, but a similar control board that originally came with the mill. Two reed relays to control turn-on/direction, and a filter to turn PWM into 0-5V control voltage for...
  6. Re: Spindle won't stay on, software stops while running code

    VFD: Leeson Speedmaster SM06 - 220V 1PH to 220V 3PH, 2 HP
Spindle: Belt driven R8 taper spindle, driven by 3PH 2HP 220V motor

I doubt the spindle wiring is an issue - it hasn't changed in 15...
  7. Re: Spindle won't stay on, software stops while running code

Whatever happens happens so fast you see nothing in the IO panel.

When it happens - the spindle output pin DOES switch off in the IO panel.

Here is a video showing the software when it happens:...
  8. Spindle won't stay on, software stops while running code

This system has had occasional issues with stopping randomly while running code in the past - but it was very intermittent and did not impact many jobs.

Recently the system was moved, and the...

Re: Issue with warp (offset issue?)

Sometimes my zero is in the center. Sometimes my zero is the lower left corner. Sometimes (when doing PCB) my zero is the lower right corner. It depends on the GCode and what CAM software generated...

Re: On screen jog randomly not working

Makes sense... but it would only disable jog in 1 of 6 directions. I'm guessing whatever it thought was the last direction moved.

    Issue with warp (offset issue?)

    Software: CNC USB Controller v2.10.1710.2601

I've been using warp on my PCB milling system for quite a while, and everything works well.

I've been using warp on my larger metal CNC system, and...

Re: On screen jog randomly not working

    Problem solved.

This was caused by an active probe input.

Probe input is normally closed, so when no probe was attached the input was active.

Why the probe input being active would cause one...

On screen jog randomly not working

    Software: CNC USB Controller v2.10.1710.2601

Sometimes in the software the on screen jog buttons quit working. Usually it is only one direction on one axis - today when it happened it was -X,...
