  1. Re: Mach 3 does not recognize home position.

    Hi Tom,
I have attached a shot of the tool setup. Kmotion is acting real erratic. I entered the m03s500 and it worked. Did so a couple more times and it worked. Ran a program with M03 in it and it...
  2. Re: Mach 3 does not recognize home position.

Yes the jog commands work. I can jog in both directions and at varying speeds.
    Thanks,
    Scott
  3. Re: Mach 3 does not recognize home position.

Hi Tom, I tried the Kmotion DAC commands for spindle and they work as they should. The 435 B indication shows in that DAC command window. I do not know exactly where else to look for the designation....
  4. Re: Mach 3 does not recognize home position.

HI Tom, Thanks for your answers. I do not see how to proceed from what you said. You indicated that I probably damaged the turn screen set. Do I need to try to download mach 3 again? Am I looking for...
  5. Re: Mach 3 does not recognize home position.

When I went back to the office computer after closing out, I had no turn screen and got another Art error code. I got my laptop out and had success with it. I just downloaded the 1024 TK.lset.txt and...
  6. Re: Mach 3 does not recognize home position.

Well I have pretty well screwed things up again.I tried to follow your instructions and did so on my office computer so as not to mess up the lathe computer. Was finally able to use the editor to...
  7. Mach 3 does not recognize home position.

Trying to get the Turn module to work correctly within Kmotion. Tom K helped get all set up with C files. The problem I have is that I cannot seem to get Mach to recognize a homed position. The LED...

  9. DCS-100-A Step/Dir to 10v analog by Prisma in Serbia

I found this product on line and it looks like what I want for using existing analog servo amps. I have tried two of the listed email addresses to contact but they come back as undelivered. Anyone...

I have a Lincoln Burny 2.5 plus control on plasma table. It works great with standard shapes file and with trace eye. I want to be able to download from a PC. I have it connected to PC and have all...

One last question Tom. Is there a post you recommend to use for turning with KMotion?
    Thanks,

    Re: Arc rejection problem

Thanks for your help Tom. I will review and try to understand the arc generation process better. In this instance where Mach allows it and kMotion does not, does that mean the arc may be machined...

    Re: Arc rejection problem

It would seem that since this code is meant to run in Fanuc controls that it would be pretty widely accepted. Where would I look in the KMotion files to see if I can change the setting to allow...

    Arc rejection problem

    Hello All,
I have a problem with KMotion on my lathe I don't understand. I have a turning shape generated in fusion 360. I can run it in Mach 3 all through to the end. The code is generated as Fanuc...
  16. Re: Conversion of turn wizards code for a slant bed tooled lathe

I haven't got back to the lathe yet but I remember if it is a go2 arc you have to change to go3 and vice versa. Thanks again, I think I can play around now and make myself some notes and it will be...
  17. Re: Conversion of turn wizards code for a slant bed tooled lathe

Thanks again Jim. After I replied to your answer I thought about it more and agreed you had to be right. I went to wizards and did an OD arc. All the roughing operations ran as you would expect. Then...
  18. Re: Conversion of turn wizards code for a slant bed tooled lathe

I agree to a point, but the movement in front is right to left. If you spin around it needs to be left to right when machining from the same end. I cannot get the set ups to accept that type of tool...
  19. Conversion of turn wizards code for a slant bed tooled lathe

I have a CNC lathe with tooling running behind the spindle on a slant bed. Is there a macro to use with the turn wizards to change the code for the rear side tool approach?
    Thanks,
    Scott
  20. Re: Perplexing travel issue with 320 drive

I had no luck figuring out the cause. I reinstalled a stepper for now and it works as it should.
  21. Re: Perplexing travel issue with 320 drive

Thanks for your suggestions, I will try them tonight.
  22. Re: Perplexing travel issue with 320 drive

I tried changing the setting gradually up the the 5 maximum and it did not change the error issue. If I run a program to cut a round hole it ends up as an oval. Short of an answer to the problem I...
  23. Re: Perplexing travel issue with 320 drive

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give it a try.
  24. Perplexing travel issue with 320 drive

I have a travel issue on one axis of a gantry with a 320 gecko. I can tune the travel distance in one direction to be spot on. When commanded the same distance in the opposite direction there is a...
  25. Re: Fanuc A06B spindle drive pinout deffinition for CN1 cable

Thank you Kashif for your posting of the manual. I put the project aside when I had not got a response. Was just looking at another post and saw this. Sorry I did not acknowledge this earlier.
