Could you quote a few motor manufacturers that are not "big ones" ?
So far I know about only industrial motors, such as Mitsubishi, SanyoDenki, AKM, Parker, etc. but they are quite expensive when...
Hello!
What is the reason for not choosing IGBT-s for higher voltages?
I do not know about any drawbacks... IGBT-s can carry high currents, and withstand higher voltages than power-FET-s.
Hello,
Is it possible to get somewhere the ref. design and the connection diagrams for the VSD core?
If no custom design needed (current design) what quantities are to be ordered as minimum?
...
Where is it possible to get the layout design and documents for the VSD core ???
Hello!
I am glad that this product finally became available :)
Could you please describe what customization is needed for this board?
Software or hardware only?
Or I shall write a separate...
You could have designed small vias (holes) so that you can put tiny programming pins in them :) then you would not need a fixture for programming.
Hope you will try soon the higher voltage parts,...
Yes, you are right, if we consider motor control for what we here mostly use, tiny increments of position changes, or speed changes... the B and C are supposed to be smoother, but then it means also...
Seems a good idea!
So do I get it well, this would be a motion card, which does not generate step/dir signals for 6 servodrives, but rather outputs data on the SPI bus for 6 VSD-s?
On what level...
SPI bus monitoring is OK, too imho, and if someone wants analog can hook a microcontroller on it :)
And some more questions...
-When do you think you will have time to describe these algorithms?...
So finally I could re-read this thread. Nicely evolving VSD-E, congratulations!
In my control design I planned same things (as vector-controlled stepper) but damn, I can never get to its end, I...
Hi, I'd have some questions.
-I sadly see on yor site, that VSD-A is no longer produced. does it mean that some new is coming out soon?
-Within this planned modular design, are you planning a...
I just reviewed this thread quickly...
I am glad to see that hi-voltage parts are being developed, too :) Can't wait to see what will come out!
M preference would be in the same order as you...
That sounds good! And what is the actual bus voltage?
Heatsink is no issue :)
And how would you handle current sensing? DC bus voltage could be monitored, too. If we want "plug and play" alike feature then we should consider at least these, too.
e.g. an additional resistor...
I just thought of a power stage with its own microcontroller (in case it is not a discrete single chip powerstage) then this uc could accomodate the simple plug n'play communications. Well, at least...
Well, on my side I'd be happy with a lower-cost VSD-A alike (but upgraded with outputs) powerstageless unit, outputs could be optocoupler driving ones, for firing high and low sides of IGBT inverters...
on the VSD-A I have seen the tiny DSC... what brand it is? quite unfamiliar to me (not PIC, not Atmel...)
Maybe for the next generation (modular control+power circuit) you should consider a bit...
Hm, I`d be glad to test those 350V drives for you :)
In mid-January I will refit my CNC mill with its original servomotors (AMK) and their drive system, but I am afraid that I will not be able to...
Glad to see you considered it :) Any news about this?
Eariler I started developing my own Servo system, but got stuck with Assembly programming. Higher level languages are not meant for me.
I wanted to use a bit more advanced PID algorhythm than the...
