    Re: Auto Rotary Brake Parameter

    Seems to me set to no should make any A axis movement, programmed or MDI/Jog be without the brake on. If that's not the case, then contact Milltronics and ask them.

    Re: Auto Rotary Brake Parameter

    Well, is your Centurion 7 the same as the 7000 series? If so, it sounds like setting the parameter to yes will take the brake off when rotating and put it back on when stopped. If you tried that and...

    Re: Auto Rotary Brake Parameter

    Brakes on the rotary are for heavy milling in place, so acting like an indexer. Move to 90º and do the face operations, then to 180º and so on. If you are using the fourth axis as a true simultaneous...

    Re: Centurion 6 - program hangs

    If I remember correctly in the parameters section of the software, you tell the machine if it has a tool changer or not. The selections toggle from M from Manual to whatever number tool changer you...
  8. Re: Can you import/export a tool length table on Cent V or VI?

    No, according to the manual it's written like the example below:

    G10
    P601=-5.100
    P602=-7.200
    and so on...

  9. Re: Can you import/export a tool length table on Cent V or VI?

    Figured it out, the parameter numbers were off, it's P601-P699 for the Centurion V machine and P2101-P2199 for the Centurion VI machine.
  10. Re: Can you import/export a tool length table on Cent V or VI?

    Well, that didn't work as I wrote it, any other ideas?
  11. Re: Can you import/export a tool length table on Cent V or VI?

    Thank you! I'll have to test it out, but I found it in my Centurion V manual... looks like this:

    G10
    P600=-14.875
    P601= -9.500
    G11

    G10 being "write enabled" and G11 being write off....
  12. Can you import/export a tool length table on Cent V or VI?

    I have a job that is going to repeat fairly frequently and I'll dedicate the tool holders for the job. Is there a way to import the tool lengths into the offset table with the program? Does H01 thru...

    Re: Milltronics RW 15 gibs problem

    I would check the headstock. If the gibs or turcite are damaged there, that would make the head go out of perpendicular to the table surface.

    Re: Centurion 7 Installed Options

    I am not familiar with the Centurion 7, only 5 and 6. You want to get into the parameters pages. Go to the Mains page, then F7, then F1, then PROTO 3 for the validation code, then 3 for level, then...
  16. Re: Another 4th Axis Thread Fanuc motor Tanshing VRNC-210

    Pretty sure you change PPU to get the amount spun to equal the amount programmed. So, if you got exactly 360º when you called up a 180º movement, you would change ppl to 2000 instead of 1000. Where...

    Re: Spindle speed defaults to 50%

    Re: Vm17-Renishaw probe add on?

    Get a Haimer or Tschorn 3D taster instead of an actual Renishaw probe. Cost will be under $500 all in and especially for home workshop use they are very versatile.

  21. Re: Milltronics Partner MB19, Centurion 6, Feedhold Problem

    Call Milltronics, they usually have parameter settings on all the machines. Have your serial number on hand. They had the parameters for my old '92 Partner 4 when I first got it.

    Re: Vm17 z axis limit switch

    It's been a while since I ran the Milltronics software (converted mine to Centroid), but I think you push and hold the reset button and then you can hand wheel or jog away from the limit switches.
  27. Re: Fusion 360 and centurion 6 - unexpected movement

    It will be a rounding error in the I/J values that causes this, been there, done that. Always worth running the verify on the machine control to visually see the paths.

    DNC fast is just that, it reads the lines of code much faster, which is what you run into on a lot of 3D parts.

    You would have to look at the code, but Fusion will sometimes write an arc using hundreds if not thousands of little tiny .001 or so straight line moves instead of one G02/03 line of code. If that is...
