Re: 4th axis gear ratio ?

This is the advice I was given back in 2017.

"At the end of your .ini file in configs/tormach_mill you'll find the [AXIS_3] section. The number of pulses per degree is set by the SCALE...

    Re: After market oiler

Sounds like a good addition, for not much money. These days I use my 1100 seldom enough that I always manually apply some oil to the z before using it. Might need to order a second one.

    Re: After market oiler

I'd like to get a manual one to replace the broken one on my surface grinder.

Do you have a link, or brand name Mike?

    5C Serrated Collets

    Hey all,

I just discovered the 5C Serrated Collets on Tormach's website and wondered if anyone had used them yet.

They are supposed to be offered for holding rough or scaled stock, presumably...

I agree, it doesn't look too suitable for any kind of production, especially in tough materials. There are better, higher speed methods.

    Re: Off the wall idea

I believe you are right about the straight flute cutters, the pics I've seen show those, and the geometry of the cut probably requires it.

Of course I know you you can cut non round holes already...

Hi All, I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I would go with something a little crazy.

Re: easy release double sided tape

Yep, you are correct, but my problem is, it's almost always a one-off for me, so I am hoping for a solution that require minimum setup, or fixturing.

    easy release double sided tape

Did you perhaps mean 0.5" of grip range? I've never seen a clamp with only 50 thou of range? :)
