speed shown on VFD display does not match that set on UCCNC.
UCCNC set to 6,000 RPM - VFD Display fluctuates constantly from 10,300 up to 10,900 then down. ( Analog voltage on board 2.62V)

It is for a 400Hz spindle 220v - 2.2W water cooled. So the parameters would be?
PD007 - 20
PD009 - 15
PD010 - 8
PD041 - 8
Thanks!
I came across a few different PD settings and generally understand the majority of them, but have a question on a few that are different from what the manual recommends

I might bring an additional external push bottom close to the machine to trigger the uccnc reset function for oops moments and leave the big heavy duty mushroom botton for real emergencies. In case...
so the UB1 has an onboard safety circuit acts as a relay in a sense that it will kill signal to the drivers when estop is engaged. This helps me understand the actual use of this circuit. I wired it...
What would you guys recommend for an estop? There seems to be multiple options with pros and cons. Here is my understanding and what I remember from what I read so far:
Software Estop: Used by the...
Pd070 is set to 0 to work with the 10v.

I moved the jumper and now I am able to control the speed from uccnc however not accurately. I set the speed at 17k on uccnc and vfd when to the max 24k. I lower the speed to 1k on uccn and spindle...
I will add a relay between the FOR signal and wire it to my e-stop so I leave the FA FB FC relay for on/off the water pump.
I will check the jumper position and report back
Thanks for your help....
Thanks Mactec.
I wired everything up and seems that I am unable to control the speed from uccnc.
The bob is emiting variable voltage to vI up to 10v when i increase or decrease the speed on uccnc....
There is a NC and a NO relay from FA FB FC terminals. If i set them to Fault indication as suggested for the e-stop, could I use it to power my water pump as well?
See the attached sketch for...
How do I wire my estop to stop the spindle?
Soft estop:
I am using Uccnc so if the software receives an estop signal from my button, everything stops including the spindle. Maybe by driving the rpm...
Wouldn't I need a 20amp breaker instead of a 30amp based on the table provided earlier in this thread by mactec? I have a HY 2.2kw 220v VFD

Can you clarify a bit more? You have a ground between the two boxes and a shielded cable from your controller to the vfd?

CNC Router Parts sell their kits with your recommended approach; 120v for electronics and 220v for spindle.
I will also follow this set-up since I have everything I need to make this work. For the...
Would this set up: 30A at 220v would give me the opportunity to power all my electrical needs?
From the same 220v circuit, 220v would go for the spindle and 120v would go for the spindle water...
I order from a company in Canada so no duties on that. They charged me USD dollars but I was aware of that. I paid approx 72 USD including HST or Canada tax.
My issue is that they overcharge me...
I was given a price before give them the payment info. They initially invoice me $15 for shipping but bill and charged me $25 for shipping.
I did not do my research on similar product suppliers. Hopefully this post serve as information to others and get their cables from a different source. Will definitely check out McMaster-Carr or...
I order the Igus cable recommended and it was a terrible experience. I am sure the product is good if it was recommended by one of the knowledgeable members of this forum but the customer service is...
I added insulated wall around my steel table. It contained the dust for which I was very happy but reduction in noise was minimal compared to the amount of work it took to build the enclosure. My...
I wired my UB1 similarly as shown in the diagram attached. When the eStop is pressed, the relay is de-energized and cuts 24v power to the Nema drivers and also cuts the x103 circuit which triggers...
How can I configure Fa and Fb to cause an estop?
Or what is the best method to wire an estop?

Thanks again for sharing your personal preference on grounding best practices. My take on this: I Will use clamps or grounding leads where possible. Not stressing too much about it because at the end...
Thanks for your response, Gerry. FA and FB will be used to work with my E-stop which is currently wired to x103. By briging X103 and X104 under the board, when I press the e-stop the Spindle will...
Is this wiring correct for a Huanyang VFD to the UB1?
AL2 TO ACM
AO2 TO VI
AH2 TO 10V
NO1 TO FOR
CM1 TO DCM
X104 TO FA - SOLDER BRIDGE REQ'D
GND TO FB
Thanks George, I will use the drain wire to ground the shielded cable on both ends and use a collar or clamp to ground when going to the controller box.
Thanks again Mactec. I will attached the ground to the fourth pin on the spindle if it does not come attached and the other end to the spindle just like a pic you posted elsewhere.
The shield on...
Did your VFD worked with the wiring you provided? Is this how is supposed to be wired?
I have the same BOB and looking for info on how to wire it.
Thanks
