Re: Sample Fanuc Tool change macro

    Fixed the variables = null

Changing the M30 to M02 showed me the variables.

M30 stops the program and winds the tape. Leaves the machine completely reset state and clears the variables.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

    For a test I ran

    #100=100
    #101=#4120
    #102=#2000

    In my macro have

    #106 = BIN[#1032]

I assume that #1032 is the next tool number

    Re: Fanuc OM Alarm 087

I'm not so sure that 087 is an exact alarm. I think it merely means that something is wrong.

I can download the parameter file which is very long with 3 wires, no hand shaking without a problem....

    Re: Fanuc OM Alarm 087

I presume you have the parameters in a file.

From memory, I had to enter P0900 and P0901 parameters manually and then I could load via the serial port. (Special Parameters go from 0900 to 0932) ...

    Re: Fanuc OM Alarm 087

From memory I was writing 9000+ programs

Once I change the parameter to give access, all worked.

I also changed to a 5 wire serial cable from 3.

One or 2 of the above fixed the problem.

    Drive brake voltage. A06B-0128-B177

I need to manually rotate the Z drive. It has a brake on the servo motor. I cant find any details on the electronics of the drive. From the schematics, it looks like it could be 90 volts AC.
  29. Re: Send serial file directly to Fanuc motherboard.

According to my OMD manual Parameter 19 bit 7 is DBCD. If = 1 the timer/counter values shown in Decimal
    If = 0 then binary.

The original value was 1000 0000.
  30. Re: Send serial file directly to Fanuc motherboard.

Cant enter by hand or cable.
