Don't give up because someone else says you should.
But if and when you find a solution, make sure you tell us! That would be a great function for others and their application.
I wonder if you...
I really think you should incorporate counterweights for your spindle head assembly! That might mean casting in some mounting points for pulley attachments. 100kg is a LOT to have hanging from the Z...
Why don't you ask him? He is quite sociable and won't bite. And he is retired - so to speak...
The biggest issue isn't the stepper control, but everything else in your shop. DROs in particular don't take kindly to the noise radiated from steppers and worse still, VFD motor supplies. I shiled...
Dear Joseph Paul,
Possibly the most important step your company might take to make an impact in Western markets is to employ a native English speaking person to write all your advertising and...
Ken,
I think you missed the point made earlier; the GPS does NOT need a network connection. It gets its signal form the GPS satellites. That's its purpose.
The software to plot the maps and your...
Without GPS, no navigation of course. Navigate uses downloaded maps for a whole or part if a continent, Google has a limit of 5 cached (dowloaded) smallish areas for use without phone or WiFi...
It's the software app that does that, nor the tablet.
Download Navigate 6 from Route 66. It works nicely on moat Android devices. I use it all the time.
Cheers,
Joe
Thanks for that mactec54.
You mentioned in a previous post that the failures you came across resulted from incorrect settings. Any hints as to which settings? I haven't had any failures (yet) and...
Thanks for everyone's input. I got your PMs uhmgawa despite my apparent;y full inbox - which is now cleared, sorry.
The main reason I was following this old thread is that I need better deceleration...
From my reading of this thread I can see that there is a good bit of expertise with the Huanyang VFDs here!
My question is related - but may also be a thread hijack - please advise and I'll move it....
I think first of all you need to open the VFD and see if the F relay is actually installed! I read in several threads that not al HY VFDs have the relay installed at all..... just a vacant set of...
Why don't you send a PM (private message) to Bill?
I always believe in getting information directly form the "horses mouth".... He's friendly, helpful and doesn't bite :)
Without photos it didn't happen....
Not that it changes much, but M8 thread is 1.25mm pitch...

That seems like very good analogy!
So maybe a design that mimics back-to-back angular contact bearings would be better. That would take two ball circuits with independent ball return channels. The...
I'd be very interested to meet a few of the Melbourne guys again and attend!

All currently available English manuals are now accessible at:

That's a very interesting thought and I've filed it in my memory.
I'm not sure that the 1" long piece of fuse wire would have a signifcant effect though  or would it?

I had the same issue a few years ago when I wanted to build a rectifier for my welder. Although I was strongly advised against using 6 parallel 35A rectifiers on the basis that if the current flow...
Well, July 2 & 3 is this weekend.
The Bendigo National Model Engineering Exhibition is on, and I'm happy to meet up with CNCzone members for a BBQ.
I haven't heard of anyone intending to attend,...
Hi Bill.
Thanks for the update.
I still haven't got anywhere with my DRO - I can't get it to recognise the scales at all. I kind of gave up a couple of months ago in frustration.
In the process of...
Thank you once again mmcp42!
With your help, I have got a lot closer to understanding Eagle and how to use it.
I have managed to optimise the board a bit more and inserted the wire bridges as...
Man that is brilliant!
mmcp42 - that is very much appreciated, and well beyond the call!
To answer your questions: I'm using Eagle 5.10 and this was my first attempt beyond the tutorial.I...
With some help from a friend, I have designed a circuit to control the motor of a special felt rolling machine I built for my wife.
The prototype is working just as intended but is "birdsnest"...
Hi larryy1022,
since it is often very difficult to know where things are actually produced - and respectable Chinese manufacturers are just as proud of their quality products as their American or...
YES! That's the thread..... damn old age :o I woould have sworn I read it here.... :violin:
Anyway, it was Mike (Holescreek) I have to thank! I'll post photos of mine in his thread to thank him......
Thanks guys!
Just remember, this is NOT my idea. I found it on this forum - I wish I could find the thread and acknowledge the right person. He copped a fair bit of flac from some members at the...
After reading lots about power scrapers here and elsewhere, I really liked the "sawzall" adaptation described in one of the past threads - that I can't find any more....
I needed to buy a cheap...
