Requesting some lathe work for what amounts to some steel cones. Looking for 17-4 stainless, tolerance is NOT the most crucial. say +/- 0.002" 3D drawings available as well.

So there is no reason to buy a tormach controller at all then?
I'll get he PCI version from tormach, but there is no need to edit the .ini or hal files then right?

Like I said, all the other axis will move except the long axis.They are ball screw so they should move pretty freely. Any suggestions?
I got my 3040 cnc machine today. installed the stepper motors and realized that 1 axis won't move. I thought it was the X axis but their paperwork calls it the Y axis. Regardless, it is the long axis...
