    Re: $32 CO2 Laser Controller

Sounds like a good system. Some of us can handle the wiring fine, others the software, some no experience with either. A very detailed post keeping in mind the variety of builders experience might...
  2. Re: How to troubleshoot your K40, DKIII, cheap Chinese 40 watt laser!

Yep with those last questions answered, crack or no crack I would suggest ordering the whole supply and be done with it. Problems in a high voltage supply can feed back or back up excessive voltage...
  3. Re: How to troubleshoot your K40, DKIII, cheap Chinese 40 watt laser!

Hi again Charlie. I've been busy the last couple of days cleaning out my hanger since I sold my airplane and I found a renter right away so had to clean out all my hording! When I finish the cub and...
  4. Re: How to troubleshoot your K40, DKIII, cheap Chinese 40 watt laser!

Just went back and read your second post. The blue power supply is the "all in one low voltage-high voltage power supply". I don't know what the other one is? Maybe stepper controllers??. Do those...
  5. Re: How to troubleshoot your K40, DKIII, cheap Chinese 40 watt laser!

Fine business Charlie. First I am envious of your machine being the bigger 50 watt! Also I reread my post from yesterday and I might have given the impression that seeing the discharge in the tube...
  6. Re: How to troubleshoot your K40, DKIII, cheap Chinese 40 watt laser!

Don't take this wrong Charlie but you already didn't take my advice to "don't order anything yet". The way you described that there is a smell I doubt it is your tube and when you get the new one...

  9. Re: Question about 40w CO2 laser, software, usb dongle. HELP PLEASE!!

We'll I'll take a stab at this: First which program are you using? If it's laserDRW you need to enter the machine code off of the circuit board into the "file" then "device initialize" the "device...
  10. Re: Cheap 40W Ebay engraver/cutter (K40) upgrade thread

Hello Kaime. It's great to see someone resurrect this thread. It's been months since any activity but with winter maybe some of the guru's will return. I don't have an answer to your question and...

    Re: $32 CO2 Laser Controller

Life happens while your making other plans. A few months back I started a CNC milling machine project, then my son found a boat for me to buy with two dead Yamaha 250 horse engines so now it's a rush...

Thank you for the reply Roadstercycle. Can I get the tooth count on those sprockets? I assume they were both the same (drive and driven). Do you think the smaller motors will be better on the x and...

    Re: $32 CO2 Laser Controller

I kept at it and I think I answered my own questions. It works when hooked to the E0 or extruder bay. End stops are needed for X, Y, and Z so that is probably the reason you can't just hook a motor...
