Hello MadeInTheShed
0.15mm is equal to 0.0059in. You should be getting better results than that, but several factors come into play. Distance from the magnet to the sensor, orientation of the...

It depends on the size of your motors. If you are running a smaller machine, operating NEMA 23 or even NEMA 17 motors, alot of people here are running the Gecko G540. Very easy to use and set-up.
...
Not sure on that. Anything you put on it will most likely be scraped off by the scrapers on the bearing assembly. If You plan on leaving the machine for awhile (long extended time of no operation,...
Hey Nick
Glad to know the switches are working great!
Hey, if you want, I can come over, take those pictures tomorrow. And I'll bring over my Smoothstepper and you can hook it up, see if maybe...
If they are preloaded, they may feel 'sticky' when trying to move by hand. I have some 30mm ones I plan to use for my build, and they are 'sticky' to move by hand because of the preloading. Also,...
I think you'll find that most well made hobby machines, like CNCRouterparts, are accurate to about 0.005". The number you are talking about, 92.25-91.75 would only happen if one of your stepper...
Just as the title says. New WORKING design.
The switches feature
Digital Hall Effect Sensors (No Moving Parts!)

Thank you Kiwibrick. This wouldn't have been possible without the help here.
Well, tonight I managed to get a video of the working switches. Though, the video isn't very good, I think you can...
Well, I managed to get some of the switches assembled, the ones that DON'T require the kit. I have also sold a few, but, I have not heard a response from the buyers yet. I am sure they have not had...
I'm still working on it hacker7
I've been devoting my attention to another project. A website and the development of some limit switches. THe limit switches will be part of this machine as well,...
I tried sending you a private message nlancaster. Your box is full.
I noticed on your profile you are in Portland. I'm in Vancouver! Very close.
The problem with that though,
if they dont do a good enough job of soldering the wire and creates cold joints, i'll get phone calls all the time by p'd off people saying my kit dont work. That,...
thanks nlancaster.
but for bigger machines, 10meters (32ft) may be needed.
That is a big problem. the cost of wire alone is about 150 bucks just for 8 switches. that may put the kit well...
It looks like on the CNC router Parts page, they are using 5 meter cables, and 10meter cables for the Y-Axis for the larger machines. So 16ft and 32ft.
That's gonna add alot to the cost of wiring....
As Many of you may know. I am working on manufacturing a kit and standalone switches for Home and Limits.
My question to you is, What do you think is good to equip the switches with, as far as...
Working on them.
But I'm trying to decide on the length of cable needed for each switch. Wire is expensive, but I'd like to find a common length to make. I was thinking maybe 16ft on each...
look pretty good jsantos!
I've been busy on mine too. Finally figured out the normally closed thing. Now to figure out the kit and make them work so they have a front panel indication for my...
if the machine is still moving after a switch has been tripped, even if moving slowly, something is wrong with the breakout board or mach3 configuration. when those limits are tripped, the machine...
Hello nlancaster
Yes, there are 8 outputs, and the ground is common. Basically, it takes the signal from the breakout board, goes through the switch, then through all the Darlington Transistors,...
Most people on eBay would rather do a refund then try and fight the claim. If negative feedback is given, or even less then 5 stars on all the things, their insertion fees and final sale fees go up....
i bought my power supply and z-axis ball rail from them. I have yet to hooke them up though, but they shipped out pretty quick and they appear to be new. I hear that people on the forum are having...
wow, that guy is even worse. 7 in the last month, 26 in a year.
the item was for the inverter, same person for the spindle as well? simon_elf ? Wow, won't be ordering mine from this person. That's just bad business. What was there response when you contacted...
Graunblau's CNC is really nice. Wish I could afford it
Thank You RonaldoNZ for bringing to my attention of the power loss to the switch board. I had not even thought of that and you are correct, the machine would have continued to move when it should...
hmm, you're right. I didn't think about the whole unit losing power. But, then again, most likely the power for this would be coming from a USB plug from the PC. So, if the power for the PC fails,...
LessPaul has notified me of a fix and after testing it, I am happy to say that the Limit Switch Kit I have developed (with help of people on this forum) now performs as it should. A limit switch...
good job, congrats
Here are my step settings for my PID SYL-2325P.

T 01 -1
C 02 45
T 02 1
C 03 80
T 03 1
C 04 110
T 04 1
I hang it from the center of the oven down, but for the actual configuring of the PID to the right heating curve needed for the solder paste, i use a secondary thermocouple that works with the data...
