I know this is an old post. (but if anyone wants to know)
We have two DMG / Mori 1035 eco machines. They have failed numerous times, for several different issues. The 4th DDRT has had some...
If you post that code it would easier for us to see what may be going on.
I'm still running XP-2004... Windows 7 is forcing me to upgrade, so there will be a huge learning curve. I'm sure...
I will keep that in mind.
Thanks
My issue is resolved, basic idea is below
G0 T0303
G50 T5303 Sets offset out of a table
Work cutting moves here
T0300 clears offset
G0 X0.0 Z0.0 takes turret home
I have this older KiaTurn 15 with a Yasnac LX3. After numerous problems with the control, hopefully it is ready for use.
Below is my coding and after it clears the offset "T0300" and goes to the...
Don't kid yourself. Today's machinist deliver parts within timelines that outsourcing can't. America's job shops keep industry alive, we can make parts in days or even hours when needed. Your...
Have you sent an E-mail to [email protected]? I found they are pretty good at answering E-mails.
I just finished a run on 316. I found that about 500 SFM with a Feed of 0.008 IPR for roughing worked well (0.003 IPR for finish pass). Of course my max RPM was merely 210 for roughing and 170...
The software I use, has me create a solid or surface. Then the text has to be vectorized and projected on to that surface.
From there it's just a matter of homing the machine to the part and off...
Do any of you buy full lengths stainless in solid or tubing? The price gougers are out there in full force, and I find that 12' of 3 3/4" round 316 , can run anywhere from $1,300 to $3,000 depending...
Most Fanuc controls use a G4 then the timeslice;
G4 15000
I think it's 1/1000 of a second for my control.
Go see the guys at S.C.O.R.E. they will help and it's free. You should have a local office near you.
My Fanuc Oi-T uses the following;
#500=0
N1
IF[#500EQ24]THENGOTO2
(General cutting routine here)

I found on this particular machine, any tool designation has to be on a movement line G00 or G01 etc... Therefore my tool offset clear had to be like this;
G28U0.0
G28W0.0 T0100
Which solved...
I have this Yasnac LX3 control (Kia Lathe). Here is the test program I am working with, to get familiar with the beast. When using a single tool the program repeats like clockwork. How ever, after...
I find it fast and simple to use the V block with a vise. The combination can save you quite a bit of time from using clamps.
My foundry is now operational and in use (no longer for sale).
Thanks
Due to the cost of the insert type cutters, I have not purchased any.
For those of you who use them; Do the numbers give a clue of rcommended IPT, I would think the speeds and feeds can vary, ...
I took a used Westcott 4-jaw, and made a steel plate so it would bolt easily to my rotary table (7" Yuasa). The plate had opposing extruded centers that fit snugly into the rotary table and the...
Don't ask which one, they come as a pair (don't they?). I'm sure each will be useful and together they will work great.
:D
Yeah, sometimes the documentation is real vague to say the least. You may want to contact the manufacturer for some better detailed information.
I'm sure it will be resolved soon.

Check these settings on the controller and CAD/CAM; unfortunately, i am unfamilliar with sherlines.
Does your controller support modal commands?
Are you specifying G21 for metric in the code,...
I have a Retrofitted Series II CNC with quick change 2J variable speed head. Erickson makes a copy of this and the NMTB #30 tooling has been copied by several companies over the years.
Here is...
I use a 10Hp rotary unit for my mill and deburring. 3 phase motors produce more torque, and are more effecient, they are also far cheaper than single phase motors. I know an elec. engineer, who...
Point taken and absorbed Rekd, thanks for the advice. I rarely brake bits anymore, thanks to this forum, and applied caution.
Thanks
I think you will find everyone is willing and glad to help you you solve whatever problems you may encounter.
Sounds like a good project.
I believe extrusions are poured, using a mold and extremely large foundry equipment. This partly where the word wrought is derrived from.
But then I could be wrong.
I am cool, and having no problems. I am good on the ramping function, once one gets the movements down, it's easy to breeze right through.
Thanks
