    Re: Spindle Fluctuating Speeds

Hi all, I finally got the parts needed to rewire the spindle.
And Yeah! It fixed the fluctuating speeds issue.

But now the new problem, cuz you know, one step forward ;)

    I set 12,000rpm, and...

    Re: Spindle Speed Variation

    Hi Mac, thanks.
I have some new cabling coming and will tidy up my wiring a little better.
I'm currently using two shielded 18/4 cables. One dedicated to relay, one dedicated to speeds.
    My VFD...

Re: Thoughts and feedback as I progress pls

    Okay, I'm 99% done!
I trammed the router to 0.004" over 12"
    - Thinking about making some tram adjusters to make it a little easier (and a little closer)

It was warm in the shop today. I wasn't...

    Re: Spindle Fluctuating Speeds

    Hi, I am using UC300ETH-UB1 (UCCNC) with a HY02D223B.
    No pot on the BOB.
Using shielded 16/4 from the UB1 to VFD.

    Wiring:
    UB1 - VFD
    AH1 - 10v - Verified at 9.98v
    AO1 - VI - return voltage at...

I'm having the same issue and was hoping for a pointer...

    Spindle Fluctuating Speeds

    The spindle fluctuates speed.

    Spindle Specs: 2.2kw, 400Hz, 10A

    The VFD outputs 9.98v

If I set the spindle to 12,000rpm, the return control voltage is a steady 5.82v (should it not be 5.0v?)...

    OKAY!!
I'm up and running!! Woot woot!!

But things are not all doubt woot atm lol.

Seems I have VFD issues as the spindle fluctuates speed.

Re: Thoughts and feedback as I progress pls

    Well, I'm almost there.
I still have to wire up the stop switch and the probe.

I'm going to rework the VFD wiring. As of now, I'm...

Re: Thoughts and feedback as I progress pls

Well a buddy helped with pulling the old spindle apart.
Turns out it's a 3 bearing model. And I believe it was a used/returned spindle.

I'm not 100% certain what caused the axial play, but after...

Re: Chinese 2.2kW spindle, 6A setting on VFD?

Thanks for this thread. I bought a spindle and I'm pretty sure it's no good outa the box. It has 0.004" runout and 0.008" of axial play!
I bought it as a kit on ebay with a HY VFD. Too far out from...

Yes, there is clearance for the ball screw, the blue spacer plates are 3/4"
