Is it possible to use a Gecko 540 an older Shopbot 4' x 4' router? I would think it is but not sure how to wire the 2 X axis motors to the drive.

I was cutting a sign out today and about 3/4 the way through cutting the sign the x axis went long by almost an 1 inch. Is this a mach 3 problem or something else.

I did read the manual. I have tried a 2.8 but still ran hot so I started going up from there.
Is this not a good way to approach it?
