PMM Parameter #40
Worked pretty well. Now only about 10% of the parts fall into the chip conveyor (Large part so none are lost).
5 inch part sometimes just gets thrown when cutting off even at...

Live tooling isnt the issue, its the orientation of the part being so long that makes it difficult. I'll let you know how it goes!
Thank you
Tolerance on the OD is 0.005 so holding a size it not needed with the wheel. Just something to blend the mismatch so a rough finish is OK (we currently use 180 grit sand paper to blend the diameter...
turned od ranging from 3/16 to 1/4, lengths range from 2.5 to 5 inches and there is a large ear on each end.
Thanks for your help!
Long inside diameter has minor mismatch that is currently sanded by hand with 180 grit sand paper.
Sometimes chips are loosely hanging from the inside diameter so the wheel would need to be able to...
Anyone try a Silicon Carbide wheel on 400 stainless steel?

I have a part that needs a 3/8 -16 UNC -2A Thread about an inch long. The overall on the part is about 4 inches. I have tried single point threading, and am currently sending the parts out to be roll...
Turns out M54 right before an M99 is what it needed. But apparently the M30 code initiates the barfeeder, so that now has to be changed since we need to use M99 to run continuous.
Thanks for all...
Ill give that a try, the service guy should be in today some time ill post if anything changes.
6710 is set to M54
I had set the parts required to 5 and it will count the parts made but it wont stopat 5 it will keep going, 6 ,7 ,8 until the bar is done.
Yes, parts required is set and parts count is 0. I have tried the following codes at the end of the program.
M30 at the end of program.
M99 at end of program.
M54 and M99 at end of program.
I have M99 at the bottom and it runs continuous but it still disregards the parts counter. It will count each part but it will not stop until the machine alarms out when it finishes the bar. Ideally...
Anyone have any trouble running with the parts counter? It registers each part but will not run continuous.
Ideas?
Thanks,

Ahh I see, thank you very much.
Sorry, I mistyped then. I do have BobCAD - CAM V24
I have bobcad and solidworks downloaded V24 and 2012 solidworks, and when I open solidworks and go to the addins section I cannot find BobCAD. Am I missing a step?
Hello,
My issue is simple... I have loaded BoBCAD V24 and Solidworks 2012 already. When I open Solidworks and click Add-Ins, BobCAD is not there.
I could see some orange but more yellow, it comes of with some solvent and a razor blade but it just takes to damn long.
Sounds good I'll give it a shot tomorrow and let you know how it works.
