My intent is to cut steel at higher mmrs.
The motor it comes with seems to stall sometimes.
Im wondering if the Taig mill has enough rigidity for this spindle motor from clearpath. I plan on cutting different steels at a reasonable rate.
Its a pricey motor so im wondering if it would be...
I use the hicon integra. Ive had it for about 6 months.

thanks!
Question for you know is though.
if you had the ability to choose to fix the gcode and keep constant velocity or switch to exact stop. Which one would you choose?
thanks again!

I am working in inches per minute.
thanks!

sorry for being so noobish.
and does this mean i should up my acceleration?
thanks!
here is the image of the contour im trying to cut. its supposed to cut right on the center of the path.
The green is what i want to cut but it was doing the red path. Whats wierd is it would only do...
thanks for the reply. I was investigating some more and it seems like that might not be what fixed it. I think it might be something called undershooting or overshooting.

Ive been trying to figure this out myself. Im hoping i can mount the threaded ends of my leadscrew into the bearing.
Did you ever figure this out?
I was wondering if it was ok to mount leadscrew inside of bearings without machining the ends.
also to prevent back and forth motion of leadscrew... do you ususally do this with shasft collars?
