    an ATC is an automatic tool changer. makes changing tool in seconds instead of minutes. Makes using your CNC much more enjoyable.

    Question for you know is though.
    if you had the ability to choose to fix the gcode and keep constant velocity or switch to exact stop. Which one would you choose?

    wow this really helps. So i have 2 solutions fortunatley.
    I can either change the settings in mach4 and see if it works. or i can just change the feedrate as i approach the change in direction...

    other than G94 yes. my assumption would be that i should use G94 (units per minute mode)....
    I am working in inches per minute.

    I recently noticed that my the contour i asked my cnc to do would not look like the contour I asked it to do.
    The corners did not look like corners....
  18. im almost done with my DYI 5 axis machine but i have this noise issue....

    My motors start jittering and moving on there own. every other 10 seconds or so. i Finally think I've pin pointed the problem And want some advice from this great community.

    I was wondering if it was ok to mount leadscrew inside of bearings without machining the ends.

    It is a fixed Gantry. the moving table X is around 50 pnds.
    the Z axis assembly also weighs about 50 pnds. Which rides on the Y axis
