  1. Re: connecting old haas lathe or mill to network file share

Wow, I came to this forum for this issue and it was on a top thread because of how recent it was.

-- I'm also having problems bring my CHC Haas to my SMB server. I've been running a SMB server on...
  2. Check if program has run before (~1000 unique jobs, accidental reruns)

In my shop I have several NGC machines reading programs from a network locations. We produce around 100 unique pieces a day and sometimes have operators run the same file twice.
    Is there any way to...

    Re: Dust Collection

I'd be curious too. We cut foam and it is also messy. Right now we adapted the bar feeder panel to a duct that is attached to a large vacuum it helps, but could be better.
    In another application...
  5. 2015 TM-3P, trying to data collect over RS-232

    Hello all,
I'm trying to do machine data collecting from my '15 TM-3P via Serial. It does not have the new "Next Gen" OS, but the version prior to that roll out. It does have ethernet enabled but...
  6. Re: Virtually unwinding 4th in Post Processor

    Thanks again BurrMan,

I was thinking along the same line as far as the machine limits. I'll see where I get. I have another question about rotary leads out, maybe you'll be able to answer that one...
  7. Virtually unwinding 4th in Post Processor

    Hello all,

I'm doing a lot of rotary 4th milling and my A axis needs to unwind a few times in long jobs. I'm using a HAAS TM -3P and the exported Bobcad code is below. This unwind takes a few...
  8. Re: Trying to figure out how to enable Inverse Time Fucntion

Thanks! This got me going.... I also realized that the generic HAAS_OEM post generated a G93 toolpath, but the HAAS_4X_OEM did not...odd. Regardless I'm up and running. Thank you again
  9. Re: Trying to figure out how to enable Inverse Time Fucntion

Sorry, yes.... i meant to say it was a spiral cut. I was looking at the post processor yesterday and I did see the inverse time variable but I didn't really understand how to edit the post processor....
  10. Trying to figure out how to enable Inverse Time Fucntion

    Hello all,
I have a HAAS TM-3P with a 4th axis. I'm currently spiral cutting a 14" job but the 4th axis does not seem to be moving as fast as it should. The 4th has a max speed of 130deg/sec which...

Re: Very Slow 4th Axis even with G93

I threw an M11 command in the begging of the code, I still have the same issue.
Thanks I'll keep the M11 in there for future troubleshooting sake

Re: Very Slow 4th Axis even with G93

That actually did change things a bit. The federate variable does have a physical change now. It appears if I bump it past F500. It gets very jerky again. I'm also working in mm, I do have my machine...

Very Slow 4th Axis even with G93

    Hello all,
I'm trying to get my HAAS TM-3P up and running, we have a CAM program that exports purely X,Y,Z coordinates, after some manipulation I'm able to get it to a workable X,Z,A system.

    4th Axis Spiral Machining

My rotation axis can one turn one way, I would like to be able to use it as a lathe. I can't seem to find out how to make Visualmill turn in a spiral? I can only find the zigzag and zig options.
