Hello Pat-Uk,
Sorry I didn't came back to you earlier but it seems you already found the problem.
The transistors where one of the first things I checked since they where fried on another axis...
Tim,
Thanks for your clear advise. If I got the oppurtunity I'll try to check this today since it makes me curious if this will be the problem.
With this machine I learned almost all issues are...
I'm pretty sure it's not a mach issue.
When you control the X-axis the machine seems to start moving but then the motor stalls direktly. And you can here it's still making noise but there's nothing...
You're right.
The machine has the original steppers on it and used to be a Boss 5 machine which I retrofitted to a Mach 3 control.

Nobody?
It really confuse me that everything seems to be all right. Today I thought I'd find the problem when I found a bad connection in the motor but after replacing it it was still acting the...
Dear All,
Hopefully someone can help me out here.
I've got a Series I machine which used to run very well untill it stopped moving the X-axis. When I try to move the table you'll see it trying to...
Dirk,
I couldn't find the problem myself so I contacted CNCTeknix and they asked me to send the driver back for a check. There was a problem somewhere in the circuit and they fixed it without any...
Jon,
Thanks for your clear explanation. I've never investigate if it's possible to assemble an encoder somewhere on the head. I assumed this shouldn't be the problem but it seems it can be a serious...
Hello,
Is there someone on this forum who is using a series 1 for thread making? I would really like to rebuild mine so it will be able to do this. I'm especially interested in what's the best way...
Larry,
I know this part isn't really a four axis part. But I just wanted to try if Pro/Mfg could make an 4 axis movement, for example for the rounds in the pockets. I just made a simple test to...
Jonas,
These files are Wildfire 3 M040.

Hello,
I'm busy retrofitting my Hardinge HXL lathe with servomotors and TEK10 drivers. The system is running on 80Vdc and 10A max. A few weeks ago I already had this system running and did some...
Jonas,
No problem sharing it. It's a very simple testpart. As you can see I made a finishcut with a surface mill sequence because I can't select "4-axis" in a finish sequence. Why isn't that...
Jonas,
Thanks for this tips. I got Pro/mfg running on 4 axis now. But I also got some further questions about it.
I made a simple square part which I tried to machine on 3 sides. On two sides I...
I've got wildfire 3.0 and the complete manufacturing package. Also the expert machinist module. But I'm used to work with the standard manufacturing module. In the operation settings it's possible to...
Dear pro/mfg users.
I'm planning to build a 4th and a 5th axis on my cnc mill but I would first like to know how to work with it in MFG. I know I can use 5 axis with milling in mfg but I don't...
Arjan,
Sorry for my late reaction.
I've checked the .tap files I created with Pro/Mfg and they all have the % symbol at the end of the operation but mach3 doesn't seem to have problems with it....
Arjan,
If you create your .tap file you have to choose which post processor you're going to use. At least if you have the same pro/E version as I have. In my case I always choose the first post...
Well, I'm going to develop parts and assemblies (of complete machines) and then offer the company the total package of drawings. When that company isn't completly satisfied with something (for...
Wages,
Offcourse I would like to convert all the features made with Pro/E but I think that would be a bit to ambitious. But especially sheetmetal parts are important for me.
I found something...
Wages,
Thanks for your fast reply.
I've worked with both programs, Inventor for almost a year and Pro/E for more than two years now. So I can work with Inventor as well but I pretty much want to...
Hello,
I'm planning to start my own business in a short while and would like to know some things first.
Since I've got very good experiences, and a lot of knowledge about Pro Engineer Wildfire...
Hello,
I've got a hardinge HXL lathe with GE1050 control on it. Now I'm looking for the electrical circuits or wiring diagram for it. I'm going to retrofit this machine but I have to be sure which...
Chris,
What exactly do you mean? Does this happen when you're just working in one window or when you are assembling parts for example?
Please be more specific and maybe I can help you.
Bart
Jonas,
Hope you can help me with another question.
I've got a surface which I want to be machined with an indexable insert surface mill. But I've got two places which can't be machined in the same...
Joe,
Once you've made a toolpath just go to output, operation, file and select NCL. There you can name the file, once you do this correctly, it will take you to the post processor automatically....
Joe,
I'm using Pro/mfg in combination with mach 3 too. I control my Bridgeport series 1 with it. I don't know if you have the standard postprocessors in you MFg application? I always use the first...
Aha,
It seems we can't use that merge function in the company I'm working for because we are always working with the complete set of production drawings in the factory. In other words every assembly...
Jonas,
Thanks again for this info.
Where are you using this merge function for? I've never used it since I'm working with pro/e daily for work for 1,5 year now.
Are you common with pro/e models...
Jonas,
Thanks for this information.
Do you have any experience with one of these solutions?
I've tried to create parts in assembly mode before (which I think is the best way to create realistic...
