    Re: parts for xzero

X uses a 20mm screw usually... but I supposed it could be 25mm. Make sure the mount lines up with the bearing blocks. The end machining had several variations over the years, with the last one having...

Tormach 440 is not heavy iron, not any larger than this. The IDEA is right, the execution is horrific is all. :)

that's for an mpg input into the existing control. Not super helpful to you (unless you can figure out how to re-use that control)
  5. Re: Mitsubishi Servos. repurposing an automated gluing machine to cnc router.

The upside to that is you can sell the ones you have for good money though.

The wago IO block gave me a thought though. Wago or beckhoff may have interface converters to ethercat, which may allow...

Re: Delta servo drives and servos.

I think he's implying at the same speed, the 10mm has more available torque because it has less inertia - you would reduce the belt ratio by 1/2 on the 10mm. If you used the same reduction, you'd of...

Re: CNC leaves mark on the initial move

I don't quite understand what you mean. can you post a pic?

if you are talking about the cutter leaving a mark on the side of the work when you contour, this is caused by flex, mostly in the tool...

Re: Delta servo drives and servos.

I used the Yaskawa app to size motors for my router which is an ultra heavy version of the xzero predator. 2525 screws (though, not very long), and a 130kg "x" axis moving mass. I wound up with an...

Yaskawa has an app that you enter in all the data and it tells you what motor combinations work. You can then approximate for other brands that have similar specs. Bit easier and less prone to errors...

EEP! Apparently there were versions that used 28mm height rails. Can you post a picture of your frame / parts? I'm guessing its one of the newest ones?

    Re: parts for xzero

Gah, missed it in your post. So, no rails at all.

    So, x, lower axis:
30mm height, 44mm width of block. 32x36mm M5 bolt pattern. 2 rails, 4 blocks. (sbc SBI 20 SL for example)

    Other axes
    30mm...

Raptor has size 20 rails. "standard length narrow low blocks" for the X (lower axis) and "long length narrow low height" blocks on the Y and Z.

Most makers have blocks that fit this category...

    Re: MAHO 1000C -84

Search PMI on ebay or aliexpress. They are higher quality then the tbi, and cost roughly the same (cheap). Make sure you choose the right model, you want 4 way heavy duty bearings.

    Alternatively,...
  19. Re: i have a handful of Xzero spare parts if anyone is short something?

You only need to turn the floating end, which is much more forgiving. main thing is keeping it concentric. it does not need a super tight press fit. slip fit will do. you don't want more than about...
  20. Re: i have a handful of Xzero spare parts if anyone is short something?

I have a 48" one, you'd need to cut it and turn the end back down for the bearing, so I don't know if that's useful to you.

I didn't think these had a brake as an option. Cant see any reference to one on their website.
  22. Re: Leadshine ES-DH1208 faults wtih ER020 frequently

What have yo set the error amount to? the error means it is out of the specified range. you specify the range. If you've set it at 2 encoder counts, then it could very well jitter more than that with...

    Re: Tormach automatic oiler ebay

i bought one for my mini router. looks nice enough, its 100% plastic, so i expect the mounting bracket to smash off if you put it somewhere in traffic. I havent used it yet, so no comment on that.

  25. Re: Check out this ATC adapter for regular ER11 Chinese spindles...

There are 3 basic types of spindles:
    - belt drive
    - direct drive
    - integrated motor

Belt is very easy to ATC, you can run the drawbar straight through and actuate it from the top.
    Motor...
