Just program your part without having the "machine" showing. Then you can approach the tools from whatever direction you want.

Not really. Bitmaps don't produce as clean engravings as vectors do, plus they scale in size with no lack of detail.

Well, I'd say QUITE a bit. Tormach's official tolerance is about .0013" and I'm now at .0005".

Also, if I machine out a 1" x 1" square, I am now getting EXACTLY 1.000" x 1.000" in 6061 aluminum....

All you should have to do to release the estop is to give it a twist, either left or right, I can't remember, and it will pop back out.

Kind of hard to measure how deep it engraves as the point is so fine, but it does do a very nice job. I would probably guess .001-.002 with multiple passes.

The CorelDraw plugin is definitely worth it. If you use the plugin mode where it loads the full version of RD Works, it's fantastic because you can then save and maintain the layer orders and colors...

Not very deep, it is a scratch line. Probably a few thou deep.
