Re: Help with Haimer 3d taster

Why not just remove the shank and either replace it with a 3/4 shank or have your metric shank ground down to .750? It’s .787 now.

    Re: 660 u shars vise on my 1100 s3

I have solved my vise problems. I found 2 6 inch QUAD 1 vises and grabbed them.

These vises are great because the fixed jaw is in the front of the vise and the back jaw moves which allows me to...
  3. Re: What's a reasonable sale price for my 1100 Series 2?

My Series II 1100 is not going up for sale till I absolutely have no further use for it. I’ve had it since July 2011 and it still runs perfectly, and I’m still running the Mach III operating system. ...

Tormach customer service has gone straight to hell since the death of Greg Jackson.

Actually, Tormach customer service has turned out to be the best possible sales staff Haas could hope for.

    Re: PCNC1100 considering a 5" vise

I have 2 5 inch Tormach CNC vises that I’m not using any more. I have 20 sets of Monster Jaw soft jaws that I’m probably not going to use.

I would take $550.00 plus the ride for both vises and...

Re: Buying my first CNC (1100M vs 770MX)

I have a PCNC 1100 Series II that I bought new in July 2011, and I have just run the heck out of it.

My company is Mid Day Machining because I seldom start before 11:AM and I’m done by 5:PM.

I’m still using Mach III. I’ve seen too many things Path Pilot won’t do.
  9. Re: On average, how accurate has your Tormach been?

I can do +/-.001 work all day long on my series II 1100.

    Re: Vises vs Fixture Plates

I make a lot of small parts on my PCNC 1100 and when the job warrants it, I’ll make 2 fixtures then I can have one in the machine running and the other one out on the bench being reloaded.

Re: Dyna Myte 2800 vs Tormach Machines

My brother had 4 Dyna Mite 2800’s and he just sold 3 of them. I was going to buy one to go along with my Tormach PCNC 1100 but I learned about 2 major problems with the Dyna Mite machines.

    Problem...

    Re: PCNC 1100 Info

I think a Series I machine can be upgraded to a Series III fairly easily.

I’ve been running my Series II for almost 8 years and the only thing I have done in those 8 years is run it.

    I don’t...

Re: Roundness accuracy on PCNC 1100

My 8 year old 1100 will cut a circle round within.0015. If it needs to be closer than that, I don’t want the job.

I make one part for my model boat hardware that needs to be .4995/.5000. That’s...

    Re: Tapping a 6-32UN hole

I use the ER16 T/C tapping head. I’ve developed a problem that allows me to tap holes as small as 2-56 on my 1100 and the T/C tapping head takes up a lot less room than the Procunier tapping head.

    Re: Tapping a 6-32UN hole

Tapping on the 1100 is an absolute piece of cake. I’ve done threads as small as 2-56 on my machine. Heck with that hand tapping crap.
