    Re: Gang Plate Dimensions

Yes, very easy to do, install a new steel block on the plate, put the drill in the chuck and drill, you'll be sure about the height of the tool.

Re: Floor to spindle center, height?

If you can view STEP or IGES files, you can download solid models of the lathe here.

    Re: Threading question.

Absolutely. As long as you do not remove the part from the chuck or remove the tool, it will stay synchronized with the thread.

    Re: tooling for Slant Pro

Almost all my toolings was bought on EBay as 20mm shank and machined to 3/4 to fit the turret.

They are about 1/5 of the price of what Tormach ask for the same tool.

    Re: New version V2.3.4 released

Again, nothing for the lathe, been asking for a part counter DRO for at least 2 years and it would be really cool if they could add a DXF import.

  9. Weird moves on the lathe ( please help solve this) (see pictures)

I will try to explain the best I can but this is really weird.

I can only move 1 axis at a time no matter how I connect both stepper drivers.

Re: Set up and run - Steel parts

Touching a drill at the tip on a cnc lathe is great if you do not drill too deep, otherwise, it's better to indicate the center on the holder because if you drill much deeper, you'll get a lot of...

I have a digital part counter connected to one of the output relay of the USB I/O board.
The counter has a relay on the output also and I would like the lathe to stop when input 1 is high or low.

Take a look at cnc wrapper.

The website is down for the moment but I'm sure you can find it on another website.

Do you think an upgrade with servo motors could be available in the future for the lathe with stepper motors?
